  • Aeon map error?

The world map shows a large corrupted zone in Argentina and nothing in Venezuela, while in the text Venezuela has the corrupted zone, and not much is mentioned of Argentina.

It mention the corrupted are in Argentina, not much for sure.

The Venezuelan area is not corrupted, it’s actually populated by hiperevolved creatures. Ok they were hiperevolved by the action of Aberrants, but the area is not rich in Flux, it’s full of creatures from all kinds that really want to kill all humans, including plants and all things alive.

They transmit a disease that looks like corruption, but it’s not exactaly...

Are you sure you’re reading the current PDF? The Venezuelan plaguelands are listed as a medium corrupted zone in New Rules.

You did read the write up on Venezuela, right? It says right in the very first sentence that during the Aberrant War, a Nova created a vast zone of Quantum Flux... so yes... it is very rich in Flux. Unlike the Wycoff Blight however, this Flux doesn't retard the growth of life, but accelerates it out of control... causing rampant evolutionary mutations... with the Flux being able to be passed on as a disease to anyone attacked by the flora and fauna. It isn't a disease that acts like Corruption... it is Corruption that acts like a disease. All the other dangers of a Quantum Flux Zone remain in effect as well.

There are three types of people in the world... those who can count and those who can't.

It is similar to Wycoff’s Blight, but rather than laying waste to the land, it mutated the flora and fauna into monsters that promptly attacked the human population and transmitted Corruption like a virulent disease
Ok, it’s a corrupted zone, for sure, but the point is that the problem is not in the area itself but in the creatures living in it.

It should be marked in the map, for sure, but it’s not fixed in a place, it’s contained by the barriers they build to contain the creatures. In 2104 the psi explosion reduced the corruption in the creatures, reducing the area covered by the corrupted creatures and the contagious effect of the creatures.

Hrm... Actually looking at the map, shouldn't the Wycoff Blight be smaller now? In 2104 the zone was supposed to have shrunk by 1/3. But looking at the big splotch, it looks like it's still got a 1000 kilometer radius.
