  • Superhero Conversions

In an effort to keep myself fresh with the System, indulge my inner geek, and create new Paths, I am working on a number of conversions of pre-existing heroes to Trinity Continuum. I will mostly be doing Novas, but may perhaps get around to some Talents. Many of these will have Custom Paths that I will, eventually, try and compile.

To start will be characters from vastly different ends of the power spectrum while both being decidedly superhuman.

When you're spending XP, are you buying path dots or skill and edge dots ala carte?

Superman bought a dot in a second society path which I forgot to put in his total. Will correct.

But I mean are you buying second or third dots in paths they already have? It's more cost effective than buying skills and edges ala carte if they fall under a path. Also, you can improve or add contacts that way.

No, if I wanted a more in depth sheet I probably should, but aside from new Paths I kept XP relegated to Nova traits.

Obviously it would require stacking him with less power at character creation, but if you wanted to lean into Clark’s connection to humanity resisting Transcendence, I might suggest the rule interpretation that lets you take Conditions as character creation to generate Momentum in game and give him Feeding Requirement and Kryptonite Vulnerability that way rather than tying it to Transcendence.

Obviously it’s hard in Aberrant rules to balance his power level and humanity but that’s because of conceptual differences between Aberrant and most DC continuities.

Check out my expansion to the Realm of Brass and Shadow

That could be neat as well. I mostly realized he was going to have a high Transcendence just from his huge Quantum score. So I found the best fits I could.

Superman is great... 859 XP! I would try to keep him down and use lots of Stunts and Maxing Outs in the play, but you made it in a interesting way. Superman is not a noob or even a veteran, he is SUPERMAN (not the deepest hero, not the one with the best power set, but yet the most powerful In DC)

Jessica Jones is exactly what I expected form a Dark Star.

                Great job in both.

                  Next up - The Wolverine

I am sure that I could have trimmed some points on the powers, but also could have spent another 200 more XP on Skills and Edges. He has 6 dots in Paths as is!

                  Origin: Life of Priviledge

                    [QUOTE=tragedyjones;n1350109]Next up - The Wolverine

                    Attributes: Intellect , Might , Presence , Cunning , Dexterity , Manipulation , Resolve , Stamina , Composure (Favored Approach: )

You're missing his Attribute scores, and is it possible he has the Immunity Mega-Edge?

Intellect 2 for a major newspaper's star reporter? He also needs Might 5, Dexterity 4, and Stamina 5 in order to gain those Mega-Attributes. He'd need Might 3+ for being a muscular 6' tall farm boy anyway.

For your Wolverine writeup, I'm nor sure how you can have Dog Logan or Ogun as contacts since you have to be able to reliably contact them for them to count as contacts. Dog Logan shows up every few years on his own terms (usually as an antagonist), and I'm pretty sure Ogun is currently a (mostly) dead antagonist.

It's been a minute since I watched Jessica Jones. Does she really Fly or just Quantum Leap?

It is fairly implied that she has the ability to fly, but no skill at such. There are a few times she moves vertically that seem much less jump and much more "vaguely aimed flight".

As for the other chars, I will fix them this weekend and hopefully do 1-2 more.
