The Knights of the Banner! They were a 2099 Hulk Cult.

Which implies a sequel setting of Argent in the 60s as the Novas go more cosmic and absurdist on the power scale.

This could actually be the timeline where Michael succeeded in the fight he and Max had in the 40s and he sets off N-Day early (in my head it’s via the Trinity test, because that’s too elegant and on the nose not to use).

I could see Aurum drawing some inspiration from the old Godlike RPG, as well as some of the superhuman (as opposed to Golden Age superheros) ideas in GURPS Weird War 2. Argent, meanwhile, could take certain ideas from The American Way and New Frontier, in addition to 50s and 60s sci fi.

The thing about the 50s and 60s sci fi that I would force into Aurum/Argentum would be all aliens are humanoid, no matter what. Of course there are alien dogs and cats, but they are not the important aliens in the planets.

The proper answer to “Hello There” is, obviously, “General Kenobi”.

I was thinking of some of the more off the wall stuff, like The Day of the Triffids, 2001: A Space Odyssey, some of Philip K Dick's stuff (Martian Time Slip, Now Wait for Last Year, The Unteleported Man, The Ganymede Takeover, Ubik), Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, and kaiju films.

The same way that Ægis is essentially looking to be “Scion, but Science!-based”, I could see Argent being “They Came From Beneath the Sea, but with superheroes”. (Well, Scion is also modern-day while Ægis is ancient Greece; but then again, They Came From Beneath the Sea's monsters are all aquatic in nature, and Argent's monsters would likely be a bit more diverse than that. So the comparison may still be apt.)

What no love for my two favorite babies?

Aphelion: Age of spiritualism exploration of a spirit dimension “Aphelion”, Talent demon and Witch Hunters and investigators, Psi users channeling powers through rituals as mediums and spiritualists. And Quantum powers endowed by mysterious beings from the Aphelion turning men into Lovecraftian horrors. Mix theosophist conspiracies, Lovecraftian Eldritch mysterious, and early witch hunters and exorcists!

Apeiron: my pet setting name for multiversal Adventures. One setting being a Solar system existing in the void of a post multiversal doomsday. Each plantary body from a different iteration of of our solar system. So maybe Nazi colonized mars unearthing Barsoom ruins, a moon with a breathable Blue Area and a colony of Inhuman Novas and an Alien Watcher. Each asteroid in the Kuiper Belt is from another universe so some may seem mundane others could hold O’Neil Cyclinders from a human history unknown to us, an earth on the opposite side of the Sun still in the Pangea phase, the Earth maybe unique in that it’s tve only planet that is composed of a Patchwork of different universes segments, so each region is from an alternate history.

The idea being you start out on a Spacestation that survived your universe being destroyed. And the multiverse collapsed because of multiple mad science experiments across the Multiverse syncing up in a big calamity. Maybe their are universes unaffected but right now their are no stars in the sky besides the Sun.

Basically original Secret Wars and Hickmans Secret Wars and Time Runs Out for the Patchwork Battleworld idea and multiversal Doomsday.

And another Apeiron idea let’s call it “Apeiron: The Trinity Continuum” with three linked universes, and secretly a fourth world. Basically the Hammersmith event seems to have created three branching timelines. Each one with a sole Survivor with miraculous powers, (Burano, Mercer, Doctor Primorus). But instead of Mercer being a time traveler he is a universal hopper. With him allowing for communication being set up between the three they set up the Aeon Society. Each sets up their Universe based on their specialty, so Bhurano works on bringing Noetics to humanity, Divis Mal sets up Quantum uplifting, and Mercer collects tech and is more hands off resulting in a boom of Talents.

Divis Mal eventually has a falling out and abandons his Universe when he discovers how to breach the barrier and and leave the trinity of Universes, taking many Novas with him. They treat his abandoned Earth as the poor third world and dump the Quantum infused blokes in this world as quarantine. Bhurano advances evolution and medical science and without quantum noetics blossoms. And Mercer’s world accumulates information and tech with Psiad specialists recruited for projects. Only the Aeon Society knows about the Multiverse, but the Doyen are noticing the spikes of Quantum/Flux/Psi and try to quarantine Earth if they stumble upon the other universes they become a Doyen Trinity and works against humanity. All while Divis Mal builds a World Breaker Empire in the Secret 4th universe where no one survived the Hammersmith event, he starts to conquer other Earths beyond the Trinity.

And another Apeiron idea is basically the Exiles Comic a team composed of individuals from different timelines hopping between universes on missions to fix the Multiverse.

It is a time for great deeds!

                  Love these two ideas.

The former reminds me of a synergy of Black Summer and No Hero. Geniuses interested in exploring the human condition, push boundaries and ultimately coming to a head with the authorities. I was a big fan of Heroes Reborn as well as the Ultimates. I don't think the second happens without the first.

The Exiles idea is great too. Reminds me of Black Science. While having real in-universe repercussions is satisfying, there's something pretty fun about being trouble-shooters flitting around the soft spots in the multiverse. Really, really makes it possible to keep retooling adventures to give everyone a chance to shine especially if you're working with talents, psions and novas.
