    Dune Fan Conversion
    Storypath Trinity Continuum: AEON
    Introduction

    I have no fear,
for fear is the little death that kills me over and over.
Without fear, I die but once.
-- mantra of the City of Introspection

    I must not fear.
    Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
    -- Dune Litany Against Fear

Frank Herbert's Dune Universe and all things Dune is one of my favorite Scifi setting of all time. With the release of Storypath and Trinity Continuum Aeon my goal is a quick and easy Dune Fan Conversion.

My parameters are to capture the flavor of the setting, change as little mechanics as possible but as much as needed.

    My current source material is:
    • Chronicles of the Imperium Dune Core Game
    • Dune: Legacy of Landsraad (Fan Supplement)
    • All Dune Novels by Frank Herbert, Brian Herbert, Kevin J Anderson
I am open to feedback, colaboration and more references as we work through this.

Just wanted to say that this is really cool and that I would be very interested in seeing how you would play either in Dune or a Dune-like setting. On that I would say that for me a campaign set previous to the events of Dune, which disrupts the whole Imperium, would be where I would want it to be set at, though I could also see people wanting it in the later periods as well.

There is one thing I would definitely want in a Dune-like game, and that would be rules for playing one of the Great Houses of the Imperium. This could be done either as the group is a single House or it could be each player haivng their own Houses. Either way I totally would want there to be some way for more noble holding focused play to exist.

But yeah, this is really cool and I look forward to seeing what develops from out of it in time.

Oh, as a PS, I could see something like Dramatic Editing being similar to something like Drama Die (if its what I think it is, i need to check my pdf of Dune, sigh, I wish I had the Dune rpg in physical, ...)

I would also say that I think some of the more mystical seeming things the characters do in Dune could easily be Gifts of Talents or the Powers of Superiors.

I think at the end of the Butlerian Jihad, with the emergence of the great schools, the founding of CHOAM and such would be a great place to start a game.

I think a cross between Trinity Core, Aeon, and Dystopia provides a great framework.

I was going to mix up aptitudes and modes

So navigators a bit of Clair and Port

Sisters Telepathy and BioK for the body control
The telepathic mind control would be tweaked to "Voice"

                    Mentats Clair, ?

                    Ginaz BioK, Legiion maybe

                    Just some quick thoughts

I'm guessing Talents and Superiors may work as well.

The porters will be evolved with the space folding developed by Norrma.

The spice would be the catalyst for psionic modes played down.

Rogue pockets of thinking machines, butlerian movement on the rise destroying tech, Venport trying again corporate footholds, an emperor trying to prove the universe needs him. Flesh merchants, bam!

Ya Dune is one of my favorite novels of all times.
