For aberrant, im thinking of a Nova with the ability to travel unaided trough space and wanders from one Star System to the next. Visiting new planets and civilizations.
[Aberrant] What would be the minumum requirements for a nova that wants to be a space traveller?

The fastest a Nova with the ability to travel unaided through space can go is the speed of light. So, it's going to take a Nova 4 years to get to the nearest solar system. If you really want to go exploring, you should pick up Remote Sensing and Teleport with the Interplanetary range. That would get you to any other planet in the galaxy in 5 hours at the minimum Quantum required.

Also, it would be better to have Adaptation that allows you to live from Quantum for a while, so you don’t need to take food, air and water to space (or even a space suit).

With Warp/Teleport you don’t get lost, as you need only to know where you need to go to get there, but yes, Warp was created to space travel basically, Teleport not that much.

I was thinking about it in game design perspective. Warp has a infinite range by default, while teleport don’t. Warp basically was created by the team to allow “instant” travel, not a tactical use, while teleport is tactical but can be used to travel too if trained to do so.

The fact that they imposed a time to travel element just to allow Aeon to work as is bothers me to no end. Especially considering to me the idea of Warp is either the stargate (nearly instant travel) or something like a tear in space that leads a single step to let one go from here to there. So yeah, there is no time in travel for me.
Also if this is a full on space focused game then the rules in the book have some potential adjustments to make it a bit easier. One of which is that it Adaptation just works, no need to spend quantum.Last edited by LordHeru; 11-02-2020, 10:21 AM.

The time for traveling is imposed to Psions too, but it’s not a big deal, just ignore it.
I personally like the idea of a Hyper Drive like travel times for Nivas, while Psions could travel almost instantaneously, but it’s a personal preference to be honest.
