So I was thinking about the ways such tech could go. One version is everything is super visible, like the tech is all shiny and new and looks that way. Another version is that the tech is hidden behind false walls, pop up panels, and designed with a facade of more rustic or historic design.
I always had the interesting image of someone going into what looks like a stone cabin with a simple wood burning fireplace and so looks like it lacks much things. Only for the owner to have hidden dishwashers and ovens and microwaves and toasters and fridges and freezers and tv units and all that - just without seeming to look like they do.
