I’ll be using the Goliath rules for cosmic-scope entities beyond even novas, and kaiju.

      A TC Aeon question:

      1. Can Technokinesis 5 affect Q-tech? Would it be possible, and, if so, would the psion in question suffer a penalty of some sort, like an Injury or a Condition, appropriate to the Q-tech in question?

Since Technokinesis 5 interferes with devices, it may manage that much against Q-Tech, provided the Q-tech actually runs on electricity (as noted in the first sentence of the Technokinesis entry, before any of the listed powers), although the attempt may incur a higher Difficulty or a minor Complication.

Of course, since Q-Tech needs to be attuned to the user, Technokinesis wouldn't work properly at outright controlling the device since a psion can't attune to a quantum device. I believe there is a Talent Gift that allows them to make Q-Tech work for one single use, but Gifts aren't fundamentally opposed to quantum the way psi is opposed to quantum.

If the Q-Tech device includes any sort of electronics or computer programming, a psion may be able to use Technokinesis 2-4 to turn the device off or temporarily scramble the programming, but (again) the attempt may incur a higher Difficulty or a minor Complication.

If you decide on an increased Difficulty, you may consider figuring the Difficulty normally, them add half the device's Rank. My justification would be that, the higher the device's Rank, the more the quantum nature of the device interferes with the psi power. In that case, the psion would be best served by using the lowest level power available, since they'd gain the most Enhancement to their roll that way.

A reverse of the above question:

          1. Could a nova with the Digital Scan Mega-Edge detect something Alex Cassel uses Subquantum Computing (Electrokinesis 7) on? My thought is no, as subquantum is too ‘small’.

My interpretation is No, because as it says its Subquantum and so out of reach for Novas.

                A TC Aberrant question:

                1. How old can novas get? I’ve seen some material saying 150 years all the way up a millennia or more.
                2. What were the Doyen doing, during the Nova Age, besides shitting themselves in absolute panic? They had to sense N-Day, and the shattering of their barrier...
                3. What is the difference between reaching Transcendence 10 as opposed to Quantum 10? As I figure it, Transcendence 10 turns you into a bodyhorror nightmare without increasing your power, but Quantum 10 doesn’t necessarily mutate you, “just” turning you into a god?

                  1. Depends on Mega Stamina, but they can become immortal.
                  2. Probably doing other things and maybe trying to infiltrate Earth to prevent Novas to grow too powerful.
                  3. Transcendence 10 you become something that is not human, Quantum 10 you become too powerful to be in the universe.
Notice that Transcendence 10 doesnt means deformed monster, just means the Nova dont care about being human and dont care much about humans, sou they just stop being human, psychologically or physically (or both). Quantum 10 means your power is just too much, like a Type 2 civilization of a single person.

                    Ah, ok!

So....is Antaeus reaching Transcendence 10, then? In the little comic book you can read from the main Onyx Path frontpage, Antaeus seems....unconcerned...for the fate of humanity, valuing ecosystems as a whole above individual lives. It seems sociopathic, yet his love for Earth’s ecosystems is also genuine.

Yes! My favorite example would be Dr Manhattan turning more and more distant until decided to just go away to explore space and live in Mars. He just don't care anymore, don't care if he is alone, think people is boring and go away.

Since TC Aberrant did away with the sterilization bullshit:

                        1. Are the children of two novas born baseline, with unexpressed M-R coils, born a nova, or what?
                        2. Is the gene for the M-R coils dominant or recessive?

Here's another bunch of statements that lead to a couple of questions. I'm going to leave out Aether (because I need to re-read it) and Anima (because I missed the KS and am waiting for the release to grab it). Please correct me where I'm wrong.

                          The statements-
                          * It seems like Talents just sort of happen. Events like the Hammersmith experiment in 1922 and Bhurano's experiments in 2104 "activated" more Talents, but they seem to just naturally happen. Being at ground zero of the Hammersmith event caused Max Mercer to become a "Mega Talent" (for lack of a better term).
                          * Psychic powers seem to require activation. Hammersmith's event caused more latents to become psiads/mesmerists (and made Bhurano a "Mega Psiad"), and later SK's experiments created a bunch of latents and a few rare psiads. But it took the Prometheus Chambers to create full-blown psions (though psions' powers are capped because the Doyen are jerks).
                          * Similarly, Novas need to be activated. Hammersmith created Dr Primoris and activated Stalwarts. Later Primoris/Mal created more novas.
                          * That said, Cestus Pax seems to have naturally erupted.
                          * The Doyen put something in place after Hammersmith to prevent novas from occurring, but Mal blew it up.
                          * Stalwarts (now called Superiors) can be activated in the Aeon era, but it requires special science to make it happen.

                          So here are the questions:
                          * Prior to Tesla, were there psiads and stalwarts? Presumably they were super-rare. There were also rare Gogs and Magogs (who, like Dracula, are not exactly novas or even Aberrant mutants, but sort of their own thing).
                          * Similarly, were there new (obviously super-rare) psiads and stalwarts manifesting between Adventure and Aeon? We know that some pre-existing mesmerists, stalwarts (and even Gogs and Magogs) have extended lifespans and are thus still creeping around.
                          * Are there (also super rare) "natural" stalwarts in the Aeon era?

                          Thanks.

All of your statements are almost true.

Talents, Psiads and Stalwarts (the low powered Novas) can all just appear with some triggering effect.
Talents are far easier, while Psiads and stalwarts are rarer (far rarer).
Hammersmith made it easier to people to become Talents, Stalwarts and Psiads, and Mal and Bhurano did too, but focused in different directions, Mal to Quantum and Bhurano to Psi.
Bhurano was not a Super Psiad, she was a powerful Psiad, but far less powerful than she was as a Proxy. Same for Mal, he was a nova, but a weak one (far more powerful than stalwarts, but still a weak nova).
Novas can happen naturally but they are even rarer than Stalwarts before N-Day, and become the only form of human quantum user after it.

                            On the questions:
                            * There were Psiads and Stalwarts manifesting for millennia (maybe) before N-Day, including Adventure and Aether.
                            * There were Psiads and Novas manifesting between Aberrant and Aeon
                            * Mal N-Day event unlocked the human quantum powers, basically turning all possible Stalwarts into Novas. At least for a while, no more stalwarts. The novas erupted between Aberrant War and before Bhurano event were almost all corrupt because they erupted in QFZ, but after that there may be more “clean” novas.

Given that Cestus Pax seemingly became a full-on Nova while the Doyen Barrier was still intact, and the core members of the Teragen were also full-on Novas before the Doyen Barrier fell due to Divis Mal's experiments in forced Nova eruptions, my personal Cestus Pax theory is that his car was passing by whatever secret lair Divis Mal was using at the time, and he got caught near the edge of one of those experiments. Alternately, he was near a powerful flux event that spewed enough quantum energy into the area to briefly overcome the Doyen Barrier.

Stalwarts and Superiors are also not the same thing. Stalwarts happened naturally while Superiors are what happen when scientists carefully cause and cripple a Nova eruption at the same time.

                              As for your questions:

1). Psiads and novas can occur whenever someone is exposed to sufficient noetic or quantum energy, so a flux event that spews one of those energies into the environment could cause an appropriate reaction. These people would presumably be more powerful than those empowered during the Adventure! era since they came into their power before the Doyen Barrier was put into place.

2). There were definitely a few rare mesmerist and stalwart manifestations between those eras. Flux events kept happening; the Doyen Barrier just kept the fallout on a local level while making it much harder for them to increase their underlying power level.

3). Anyone empowered by quantum energy during the Aeon era presumably gets pumped up to Nova/Aberrant level.

On Pax and the Terragem, Mal was working on N-Day for a long time, its perfectly possible all Novas (including himself, maybe) were to be Stalwarts that erupted by accident or intentionally into Novas (or were Stalwarts that were turned into Novas) due to lower scale experiments of Mal.

Pax could be just passing by a few kilometer away from Mal the time he was testing his machine and become a Nova.

                                It's not canon, but possible.
