  • The difference between dex 4 and dex 5 is pretty big actually, i'ts the difference between a base defense value of 6/7 vs 5/6, and with the was Exalted's math works that makes a lot of difference.

  • Also, is there anyone who changes the chargen/progression costs but keeps Bonus Points? If so, I'd like to hear the rationale behind it.

  • I think the fundamental problem to be fixed is that chargen resources are flat and progression resources are scaling, and that creates the disparity and strictly-optimal placement. So either make everything flat, or make everything scaling, both of those will work well. I personally prefer flat, mainly for simplicity's sake.

I would contest the idea that flat costs encourages specialized characters. Under RAW, I would never take a 3/3 when I could take a 5/1 because the second option is clearly more valuable. With flat costs though, the 3/3 is a lot more attractive. If I envision...

    • FLAT EXPERIENCE COSTS! seriously, best decision ever. In that same vein we got rid of Bonus Points and just give an equivalent amount of xp at chargen.
    • Nerfed falling damage. RAW that thing is waaay too lethal and there are a ton of charms and stuff that can cause falling damage.
    • Buffed heavy weapons 'cause they suck. Gave then the same accuracy as medium ones.
    • The "Aura-Lock" mechanic is stupid and unfun so we ignore it.
    • There's a 2-dot version of the Martial Artist merit that only allows you to learn a single style. It can later be upgraded by paying the difference in cost.

Glad you liked it! That one I gave to the Chosen of Endings mastermind behind the Wyld Hunt that was hunting my circle of Solars and was the final boss of that arc. Almost killed two players that one, and she survived.

Later on the party's Twilight picked it up and transformed from being a sweet lovely white mage into a mass murderer. Limit breaks are fun....

So, I've dedicated an inordinate amount of time to this game during which I should have been studying, and throughout all that I've gathered quite a decent amount of homebrew material. I figured it was time to put it all in a single organized place. Some of this I've shared on this site before, some of it is published here for the first time.

Special thanks to Rusted Air, who made a few items on this list and helped me with like half the others.

    Enjoy.

    Can't Post

When completing a new topic and hitting post, I'm just sent back to the subforum main page and my post is gone. Already lost a bunch of work to this. Anyone suffering from the same issue?

The funny thing is with Earth Dragon heavy armor is the go-to choice up until you get the capstone, at which point it becomes better to go without armor....

I'm pretty much sold on the idea of Fire having spears and bayonets. That said, I'm worried that Bleeding Crescent Strike kind of does the same thing as Perfect Blazing Blow but better. It doesn't cost willpower, doesn't need you to be higher initiative, and Strength 9s is going to be better than Essence 9s for most of the game. I guess it can edge it out against crashed enemies?

Breath of the Fire Dragon though is a great way to murder battlegroups and get a bunch of halos right off the bat.

Wood Dragon is the style I'm feeling the most dubious about. Batons fit, they...

Would you allow an Air-Aspected Elemental Bolt be used as a form-weapon for Air Dragon Style? What about a Fire-Bolt for Righteous Devil?

Can you two get a room already? This is the second thread where you've done this. This thread is supposed to be about the Immaculate Dragon Styles, not Single Point. It's also pointless to talk about how a 2E style that hasn't come out yet, that won't come out for like a year if we're being optimistic and of which we know not at all what it might look like might be broken if combined with this or that style.

I don't mean to be a stick in the mud but I can't be the only one who is annoyed by this. Can we get back to the topic of IMA weapons?

I think SP's conceit isn't "doesn't combo with anything" (like RDS) but "doesn't combo with unarmed" which is still a very important limitation....

Agreed. I wouldn't give firewands and flamepieces to Fire Dragon mostly because Righteous Devil is one of the strongest MA and kinda balanced around being standalone.
That said, we could give FD spears and say that a firewand with a bayonet attached counts as a spear, similarly to how Wood gets to treat longobows as staves.

I think Perfect Blazing Blow would be very attractive to a Single Point stylist, since that style has tons of decisive damage but not much in the way of extra accuracy (at least without Mastery access). Missing that decisive with a ton of motes behind it...

    Expanding the Immaculate Armory

I've commented on other threads on the fact that any Dragon Blooded who are heavily invested in martial arts are essentially required to eventually invest into their aspect's immaculate style at least up to the form, and therefore it sucks that all of the dragon styles have very narrow weapon compatibility choices.

So why not change that? If we wanted to houserule the Immaculate Dragon Styles to increase the number of weapons they can use, which ones would best fit each style's themes and aesthetics?

I think it would be okay if we gave Air Dragon knives, since the style...

Minuscule Size: is it worth it?

When I got a look at how Lunars can turn tiny at chargen I wept tears of joy. It seems like something that could enable a very unique playstyle and something that only a Lunar could do. And so I got to thinking about my first character with this gimmick in mind: fighting people Antman style.

However, when I started looking at the mechanical side, I found that Tiny Creature is pretty much better than Minuscule Size in almost every way. Let's break it down:
Tiny Creature gives you +2 Evasion and substracts 2 successes from all awareness rolls against most opponents. It's all upside....
