I'm not really assuaged. The Mage game just seems to shoehorn the entire WoD/ChronD universe into being mage- centric while at the same time saying "oh well mArcadia and cArcadia are definitely two different things." If they're different, great, but have them be different. Stop letting the Fate mages stomp all over Changelings by controlling or changing their Oaths, or making Gates to the real world directly from the deep hedge gates of Arcadia. cArcadia and the Hedge could instead be its own thing, not a mage style realm neatly tucked in a little box that they can control on a whim,...

Freaking mages. I really dislike how 2ed is "mages do everything better than everyone else." There's powerful and then there's just... broken. The crossover book may have seriously unfun issues with mages involved.

  • I'm confident Rose will do a great job with the book, but unspecified changes does make me a little nervous. I love the new courts with the Bulwark and Approaches, and how it supports more than just the Miami Seasonal Courts. Paris, Toronto... I really hope they keep those as is. I also really like the Dream stuff now, and that changelings are legitimately dangerous there. Kiths and Seemings... It all builds on what was there in 1ed and makes it more. So... Yeah. Just anxious to learn *what* is being changed.

The True Fae exist in bargains and deals. They cannot simply ignore them and must find a loophole around them. They exist in stories. The Wicked Witch with the candy house can't just shoo Hansel and Gretel along their way, she MUST capture and fatten them up to eat even if the story always ends in the Witch's downfall at the end. In their own Arcadian Realm they get to make the rules and tell the story. They control the narrative. Outside their own realm, they're bound by other stories and the Freehold IS a story. As far as the True Fae are concerned, nothing in the mortal world makes a lick of...
