  • I realize this didn't get much interest first time around, but just in case anyone is interested or wants to give feedback - I'm dropping Quick Draw entirely and replacing it with a Parry mechanic similar to the Wanderer's deflect missiles option, but melee only.

    Parry: When you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to parry with your own weapon. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by d8 + your Dexterity modifier.   • Calling: Swashbuckler [Homebrew] [Mau]

    So I have to say, I was really expecting Monarchies of Mau to have some sort of fencer/duelist/swashbuckler type Calling, and I was a little disappointed when I saw it didn’t. You could come close with a properly built Footpad or Champion, maybe, but they just don’t quite have the right feel. Here’s my take – hope you don’t mind homebrew, Eddy.

  • Volke, I really like your frogs and rabbits. Definitely might use those in my game if it makes sense to. The birds believing that the Unseen are the Old Ones is actually something I was toying with as a heretical dog belief myself, so I dig it. As for the rest, they look fine, I'm just not terribly likely to use them in my games I don't think.

    Re the apes: I actually ran a session in my Pugmire game where a Shepherd found a mandrill that somehow got lost way too far north, dubbed it the "Prophet of Man" and convinced his flock that the mandrill was relaying Man's teachings...
