  • Dodge has been eliminated, several gifts have been altered (I feel for the most part for the better), there are some new gifts as well as a collection of ones not seen since 1st ed, and a rather comprehensive collection of Fomor powers. For CB20 if you are interested in the Fera at all there was a bunch of changes as well, Book of the Wyrm 20 has some changes on things like the Black Spiral Dancer culture, as well as a bunch of new Spiral gifts, and enemies (like the mockery breeds).

  • The OP was only asking in canon if it was possible, not if all Corax will or if all Garou will. The Cannon answer according to the Changing Breeds 20 is yes, canon wise it is possible.

The difference between the old English teacher joke "Can I go to the bathroom?" vs "may I go to the bathroom". Corax "can" join, but that doesn't mean they may....

  • Page 212 of the Changing Breeds 20 under Totems. It specifies that rites do exist to allow for multi-Fera packs such as the Ahadi's Rite of the Joined Circle (the rite is written up on page 266). The Beast Courts have a similar rite, and it talks about how Mokole remember others (so you can build your own or just use the Joined Circle). It states that even Corax and Ghural can join a pack in this method BUT they lose Raven and Bear's patronage for the new Totem.

Even then I'd still lean on you actually need the anatomy for the gift. Kitsune aren't the only ones that are stated as able to learn other breed's gifts, they all kinda make a junk drawer phrase along the lines of able to learn other changing breed's gifts. Something more a flaw of writing then throwing out the need for the required anatomy for that gift. Let's keep in mind the World of Darkness were not exactly the most thoroughly written books in the world with the most well thought out rules. If I had a dime for everytime I was in a game and people started debating definitions of words and...

Rage Across Egypt has a Rite that pretty much does this on page 119.

Rite of the Sacred gift lvl 3 Mystic
"This rite, known only to the Children of Gaia (and Jesal Voice of the Sands) was developed centuries ago in an attempt to combat Set's Curse. It simply allows one werewolf to shunt his Gnosis into another. In theory, this rite could be used to transfer Gnosis to or from Fera as well, but this has never been attempted (at least not in the knowledge of anyone living).

The rite is simple enough to perform: The rite master drinks from a cup, lifts it...

  • Soooooo....bringing this thread back from the dead in time for Easter...

I noticed that the OP release page doesn't have the Bunyip tribe book listed.....is the project still going to happen? Its something I've been looking forward to in no small way (and would love to see a Croatan book but....that's another story and I get there's Croatan Song that I should be content with...but to see all dead tribes get the same White Howler treatment would be nifty)....

  • Some of this does feel like it borders on the Buffyverse take on vampires. Each vampire has a demon inside (bane) which takes over after the death of the body. The demon (bane) has the memories of the human, and often keeps a lot of the personality but what is left is a cruel blood sucking monster. Could link the banes possession to its blood, which then keeps it from creating too many vampires or anything like that.

On another note, the origin of vampires in your world could steal from Buffy as well. In that continuity you had demons able to live in the world, but something happened...
