Do you guys have any plans you're able to tell us about for that neat little region of inland seas and mountainous terrain east of Kirighast, south of Thorns, and northwest of Ember?

What about the other way around? Can my Solar general use Defend Other to protect his troops? Tangent to that, what happens if I use Tiger Warrior Training Technique on non-human battlegroups (summoned elementals or demons being maybe the easiest examples)?

I have this imgur gallery of a bunch of people and clothing styles from around the world that I found a while back. Probably on Reddit. Anyway, it seems like the kind of thing you're looking for!

Right, that was the post which reminded me to ask the question I did, because it came up in my game a while back. I wasn't sure if that was limited to being some special property of the dream, or the specific spirits within it though.

It's the grey area of 'does this count as breaking the binding?' that's kind of throwing me, though. So, for context, a while back in the game I'm running, my players had to duck out of town and into the wilderness after causing a bit of a scene the night prior. Their pursuers sent some demons to track them down, but the...

How does the spirit binding component of the Twilight anima power interact with spirits who are sorcerously bound? If I'm a Twilight who manages to get the better of a Blood Ape who's been task-bound to kill me by one of my enemies, does my anima power override the summoning spell's effect? Does the summoning spell prevent my anima power from taking hold? Both (so that the ape still tries to kill me, but I can dismiss it at will via anima power)?

  • I'm a huge strategy game nerd, so I'm pretty stoked for the extra War material (sample strategems, etc.) that's likely to come alongside the discussion of the legions and the DB War charms.

On the subject of Legendary Size, how restrictive is "...magically inflicted onslaught penalties still apply against it"? Does something like Falling Hammer Strike count, or is it specifically effects similar to Gathering Light Concentration's Mastery effect?...

When a charm or something attack-like references your resolve, does that refer to your unmodified value like in the Increasing Strength Exercise and Dreaming Pearl Courtesan clarifications given earlier? For example, the nephwrack has Broken Mirror Tragedy, and there's Insidious Terror Mien from the fair folk cataphract. Boosting resolve with intimacies is closely linked to the social system, so it's a safe bet that that doesn't apply to either of those, but could you use stunts and excellencies to boost either of those? Is Broken Mirror Tragedy 'close enough' to a social action that intimacies...

Piggybacking on this question a little bit, when a charm does say that it takes your action for the round or the next if you've already acted this round, does that mean your normal turn is basically paid as a cost, and so you can only use it up to twice in one round? Or is it where no matter how many times you use it, all the separate charm activations try to blank out your next turn, but since only the first instance can really do anything the others are effectively null? Or maybe the separate activations do stack and you can keep paying future turns in advance. For example, if I'm a Terrestrial-keyworded...

I'd thought that maybe the use of 'turn' instead of 'round' constituted just such an explicit mention, but thanks for setting me straight!

Since the fighting game inspiration for Ex3's core combat system led to such a huge success, are there any other odd-seeming works you're looking forward to taking influence from going forward? i.e. famous Starcraft games for additional Strategems and War charms, or board games, or maybe something else?

On a related note, what are your favorite influences not already listed in the core's suggested resources list?...

When Peony Blossom Technique says "When the Exalt’s anima is at bonfire, she may use this Charm to make an additional attack, even if she’s already attacked that turn", does it mean at any point, on any tick during that round as long as she's at bonfire? Or does it refer to the Solar's literal turn and the charm lets her make an extra attack in addition to whatever else she's doing?
