  • Would Changelings still feed on Willpower dots or would they be draining the other being's Glamour equivalent?...

  • Okay so meanwhile, on Mask and how deep it goes: Do cameras only capture Changeling's Mask, or is Mask rather obscuring photography's content from mortal viewers? What happens when entity incapable of looking through the Mask dips into Changeling's memories?...

Ah, not my intention here. Just thought it be cool that the boredom wouldn't register as anything else but boredom, so Unseen Sense, Mage Sight, and Kenning (if it makes it into 2nd edition) would slip right past it. The secondary effect is just contrast making other magic seem more fantastic in comparison....

  • Discussing and speculating on these settings and what new they could provide could have some value.
Probably good to mention gamelines we are going to share them with:
Arthurian Britain: with Vampires and Hunters
    Seven Wonders: With Prometheans
    Wild West: With Mages.

Leaving it vague would let each instance to be reinterpreted by players and Storyteller...
That said yeah, we might want to brainstorm some examples. Blind faith in narrative causality, impaired judgement (such as wasting ammo and being confused at needing to reload), disbelieving all fae aspects of their life as plot of some movie they are making, or perhaps momentarily believing oneself to be a protagonist from a movie with similar situation (Motley tried to attack Privateer's wedding and now contract user is unable to tell apart reality from Prince's Bride)?...

I think Jewels or maybe even Crown. This is basically Boredom Bedlam, not actual invisibility.

Can you even get Dramatic Failure on extended action?
Well you got second roll for activation so how about user getting Delusion Condition with their false belief being that they are in a movie?...

I have Contract design that I suspect to be in 2e under different Regalia but let's give it a shot:

Cloak of Mundane Banality (Steed, Common)
    Cost: 2
    Action: Contested
Dice Pool: Composure+Wyrd vs highest Composure within area or Composure + Supernatural Resistance of highest Potency individual present.
    Duration: Scene

    Roll Result:

Dramatic Failure: Contract fails but Glamour spend to activate it makes Changeling stand out from the crowd more. He takes [Condition].
    Failure: Contract fails.

    Success: Changeling conceals...

I am going to hold back slightly and see how it develops, but thanks for your responses feeling more confident about it now. It definitely has potential to be incredibly fun and memorable!

Freehold creation and Seer vs Nameless sounds awesome, but now I feel concerned. The horrid consequences Manifest Destiny have often been underplayed and it's so easy to be unintentionally insensitive about native mythology. Hopefully they will avoid connecting Gentry too much to them, and perhaps focus on superstitions and ghost stories?...

I am amused but also highly confused by Changeling/Mage Wild West. Are we going for magical gunslinger duels?

  • While I am also very curious about new Clarity rules I have gnawing suspicion that we aren't going to get any further sneak peeks into rules and systems until Kickstarter starts (so, even in best case scenario not until weekend).

  • They would be one of the groups who would be distrustful of Princesses but often find themselves fighting on same side.
Their antagonistic attitude towards Radiant stems from their long standing internal disputes whether "Dreamland Phenomenon" should be considered a threat. Now that it suddenly has started to spill over into reality? They are very concerned.

I think they might have two Endowment lines to present their dual duty: Lucid Deep Dream Dive, that lets them "patrol" dreams and act more efficiently within them, and Cape and Daggers of DayDreams,...

  • After little bit of thinking I realized my Changeling Entitlement could function as Hunter Conspiracy/Compact as well: Knight Order of Circle of Rem, medieval order that dedicated itself to study and defense of dreams. Dreamlanders, Princesses, Beasts, Eidolons (I speculate this is new name of Oneroi), and Gentry's Dream Plagues fall under their zone of interest. Endowments could let them benefit from Changeling dream shaping and dream combat, and bring some of the dream into reality in fight against bodysnatching dreams, Beasts, and "rogue" Radiant Princesses.

    They would...

  • These probably won't come up in regular play but in case Storyteller decides to throw other splat at players:

Can Changelings harvest Glamour from other splats? Would such Glamour be any different from regular one?

Do other Templates of World of Darkness have any means to back out when their words get sealed into pledge by fae?

I feel like my character concept might be bit too high power for expectations set in the intro but I hope it would be able to handle Time Traveling Deviants with limited range, similar to Crashers from C┬║ntinuum and Narcissist: Crash Free -rpgs.
Crashers were basically random people turned into weapons of timeline derailment war with little to no hopes of success or survival.
What's interesting is that their creators were also called Artisans.

  • Personally really looking forward to CtL2e to be released with rules for oneiromancy and Dreaming Roads.
Would be fascinating to homebrew Changeling perspective on Dreamland and Princesses, and I already have some ideas bouncing around.

  • Would hate this thread go dead until actual release of 2e, so I am gonna rubber tape answer my own question until rules confirm or deny it:
Because opening Hedge Gates, alerting Huntsmen, and driving humans into Delirium is also bonus to Other, they have to pay additional price to drop the Mask. In order to drop the Mask Kindly Cousin must give up one piece of its Regalia, which instantly reforms in Hedge in form of collectible Token, that must be collected by Title in question to restore. Since losing Regalia makes Titles more vulnerable, it should be good deterrent.

    Another...

Warlocker - Autumn Court member, Warlock, who insists that their membership in Court and pursuit of Arcane Secrets somehow makes them superior to others.
Believed to derive its etymology from "locker", alluding to stereotype of bullies showing nerds into lockers and suggesting it as punishment for offending Spook. Integrated into Autumn Court lexicon as well.
Uses: "Ease up, junior. Don't be such a warlocker."
