  • Since I haven't gotten any replies, allow me to rephrase the question:

How do/would you run it in your games and at your table, regarding the above types of scenarios? If you're running a game, would you allow a restaurant steak knife to be transformed into a sword or machete, ready to go with normal stats? Would you let your PC disable a firearm by messing with one of its components, or partially dismantle ammunition in a room by shrinking the projectiles from out of their casings?

  • Question about "Worms and Giants"

Question for the more experienced, as I'm very new to Changeling and just getting started at learning about how Arts and Realms work:

How do you handle uses of Worms and Giants? For example, the book talks about turning table knives into impromptu swords... but after expanding a knife to sword-size, the handle would probably be quite large and difficult to grip. Do you allow the object to grow slightly out of proportion to accommodate the desires of the fae affecting it? Or do you describe the grip as unpleasant or possibly even give a penalty?

    As an offshoot of that...

  • We already know that at the very least certain domesticated or human-altered animals can result in more Epiphling-like spirits, like Lost Dogs and Feral Psychagonea (Axis Mundi, 87-88). There could certainly be Loyal Companions, Lazy Housecats (or Crazy Cat Ladies), Lambs for the Slaughter, etc types of spirits out there that embody the common and accepted concepts.

There have also been fluff write-ups about what domestication does to an animal's spirit, but the only one that comes immediately to mind was done to retcon the older edition idea that Bone Gnawers could breed with dogs...

  • I generally keep most of the Garou Nation and Fera regressed back to their 2nd Edition identities (with some necessary exceptions with the Get of Fenris). I feel that 2nd edition presented Garou as overwhelmed by Rage (and with it- Bigotry, and Prejudice)- frustratingly incapable of getting their act together to stop the impending Apocalypse and it painted much of the state of the world as their own fault. They were murdering each other over pride and tribalism while the world was slipping further and further into decay. They took all the weaknesses and wickedness of humanity, mixed it with the...

  • I am/was having the same question as you, CajunKhan. I've played all the other games on and off since their introduction, but have never once played a Changeling game... which left me feeling a bit weird, since they're EVERYWHERE but had never once made a cameo or crossover in one of my games. My newest tabletop campaign has a plot that I felt that Changelings could not avoid getting wrapped up in, and my attempts to research the game have been an uphill battle.

Fortunately for me, a Twitch stream I used to watch that played Exalted just recently switched over to Changeling 20, with...
