    exalted modern 3rd ed conversion

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm trying to find any convsions of the modern shard to 3rd edition, done some searching through the forum, and google and there is the odd charm set, but no full settings,
wandering if anyone has done a full conversion or do i need to go and write it my self?

Yeah something like that, i mean not that, but similar, not had chance to look at that game in any detail mind you, and as far as i know it only really covers Greek myth as sci-fi

yeah certainly i can see Aeon being very useful once it's out,

thinking in Stargate the gods range from alien parasites with cool tech, grey aliens with cool tech, and there are also the ascended, with Thor the gods i think are just Human aliens with cool tech, i think i would rather not go with the gods being aliens, i could see True strong AI, culture style working, but then how do you contextualize scions, how does an AI have kids,

what do you mean by AI nanite nets, i know what all these words mean individuality, but together takes some interpretation and i'm failing...

started a topic Scion of the Stars

    Scion of the Stars

So Over in the scion Eras thread, No One of Consequence came up with the idea of doing a Space Opera setting for Shard for Scion, Similar to the way that Exalted has Heavens reach.

after some discussion in the thread I decided to make a new thread specifically for discussing that, so anyhow.

Thinking lots of influence from Star Gate, Thor, and Dune, and some heavy use of the Feudal future trope, also for now at least until 2nd ed comes out and we know how and which pantheons are going to be presented,
the main question i would like an answer to is how we are going...

they don't stop happening at high humanity, clan banes just don't apply until you first drop to humanity 6 (you start at 7), but after you drop to humanity 6 and your clan bane takes effect you will always be effected by your clan bane, even if you rise you humanity to 7+ again

It's not something i would do, i might ask if i can roll particular skill check (particularly a knowledge) to see what i know about a particular thing, but otherwise its a matter of describing what i want to do

TL;DR - No necromancy is not an absolute evil in d&d because there are setting where it isn't evil, ergo you cannon make such a sweeping generalization!

Yeah so much of this question relies on setting, some settings its going to be a no necromancy is just another school of magic and hey zombies make a useful labor force, and in other settings its a no, raising the dead desecrates the corps and damns the persons soul to damnation or something like that. tbh i see dnd more as a rule system for fantasy roleplay and not a specific setting or metaphisic
I mean i honestly prefer the former but that might just be the small bit of teenage edge lord still left in me (to be clear i haven't been a teen in a few years)

I love aboleths, particularly in pathfinder where you have the Gillmen (in the advanced race guide) great for doing sort of mythic fantasy with more than a touch of horror,

also one of my dnd (3.5) characters a squishy level 15 (i think, it was there abouts) wizard, killed one while it was in the air, and then was killed by its falling dead weight

yeah that sounds really cool although tbh i dont know enough about the cosmologies of other mythologies to comment on what sort of system i would give them. on a similar (but non scion note) how familiar are you with the mechanisms if not listen to their latest album (concept album) 'the Bifrost Incident' here,

Does anyone have any ideas for divine systems?...

yeah in my most recent DnD games, one of them was a ponyfinder game, and the gm allowed reincarnation if we could scrape together the 1000gp cost of the spell, but full reincarnate wasn't a thing, the other game was DnD 3.5 with a custom setting and a part that ranged from lawful neutral to chaotic evil, my first character in that game a warlock, was stored and preserved at a temple, so that one of the other characters could save up to resurrect her, but the character was gm plot material and shenanigans from that point on i genned a new character and new this going in, they got sacrificed to...

Speaking of really old events that people are still touchy about i wonder if we can do anything with the burning of the library of Alexandria?
