replied to Ask a question, get an answer: Scion Edition
So the section on converting Origin characters to hero (for both scions and denisens ), says give them purviews as described in part 6, part 6 however only describes things for scions so i would say whatever purview seems fitting,
this all being said the guide for creating legendary creature characters does seem a quite a bit less powerful than a Hero, getting a choice of an innate purview OR 4 dots of birthrights OR +1 scale in one area.

my question is can the legendary creature paths in hero be used in an Origin level game?

  • ferrets, ferrets would be nice, some sort of bird - parrot or corvid would be good, not sure how i would characterise any of these though.

Charlaquin re Occultism, arcana, nature, religion not being lore skills,
I think the main reason is skill feats, the lore skill feats need to be a bit generic because you can have lore:[anything], where as Arcana etc are 'magic' skills, and are going to have rituals and the like tied to them, and therefore need more specific skill feats

yeah but that takes up a spell slot, this is without magic or really any cost other than time, and we really don't know if spells will do that several levels before level 15, i mean they probably will do, but again spell slots, and having the spells prepared, and only available to certain classes.

yeah I'm not to keen on the thievery thing either,
on occultism the 'wild' speculation I've seen is that Arcana, Occultism, nature, and religion are the sort of magic knowledge skills for 4 different types of magic (arcane, occult, Primal, and divine respectively) and the monsters associated with that magic, also rituals will use those skills, if that is the case it seems good, not sure what monsters and magic occultism will involve, but people are suggesting aberrations and psychic magic

yeah its an interesting thing, I do wander if that will be represented mechanically in any way or just be a fluff thing, though i do suspect that it is fairly hard to get a gnome adventurer to bleach, long stretches of downtime might be hard on them though?

So looking through the PF2 previews and well i didn't know that pathfinder gnomes had fey ancestry i know that was a thing in d&d 4th ed, but i like it it gives them a real character separating them from other small folk. and from the preview they just sound like a lot of fun to play!

started a topic Origin Level play

    Origin Level play

So i know its early days, what with the core books not being out yet, but one of the things about scion 2nd ed that really interests me is Origin is going to have rules for playing Urban Fantasy games closer to mortal power level, but not horror (or at least not in the same way that CofD is).

I know its not going to a be a focus for release but do you think there will be source books for that level of play? like stuff on mythology related to the pantheons not in Origin that could be used in an Origin level game.

took a quick look at it, having never come across it, with the default setting of the new edition being Glorintha, classless bronze age fantasy using a percentile system - me like

quick question, one of my players wants to focus on hunting undead, as a solar, other than the zenith anima ability, there is nothing i can see that is an equivalent to the holy keyword from second ed, there isn't one, right?

replied to What are you running/playing right now?
currently in the planning process of a 3e solar game, first go at 3rd ed and admittedly as my first go at being the storyteller, wish me luck, played quite a bit of 2nd ed though, starting in the hundred kingdoms, not sure where I'm going to take the game after that though, going to talk to the players during character gen about which bits of the setting they want to explore, and then wrangle more long term plot in that direction.
