No, it is considered pejorative because in English it is essentially synonymous with "hobo" in all the negative ways.

Puzl a thing to keep in mind is that players generally don't care all that much about souls. Burning in hell forever is a big threat to the character, but to the player a death is a death. The flaw itself is extremely mild, as it just has two effects:
    1. You can't sell your soul (happens very rarely in games anyway).
    2. If someone manages to roll 5 successes on an Auspex roll (unlikely) and knows what an Infernal aura looks like (even more unlikely),...

  • My answer is: you don't. Vampirism is not a constant parade of cake and blowjobs, if you want to take an extended vacation - you have to pay the price. Waking up and learning that everyone you knew and loved is dead, your cult has long fell apart due to heresy and in-fighting, and inflation ate your money stack is entirely in theme.

Historically - you don't. Romani don't reach western europe until late 14th century. Also "gypsy" is a slur so it's best not to use it for the same reasons you shouldn't be saying "nigger".

But to answer your actual question, you get this flaw without knowing about it by making a deal with the devil without knowing that you are making a deal with the devil. Maybe you signed a very obtusely worded agreement with a nice merchant on a crossroad in exchange for getting a ride. Maybe that limping fella who sold you his last bread when you were starving asked for a coin...

  • You shouldn't put too much faith into fluff. Daimonion doesn't ruin your soul and aura, Dominate doesn't automatically make you Patrick Bateman and Obfuscate doesn't make you a hero of Misfits (2009).

Not to mention that Daimonion fluff changes all the damn time. In DA:V20 it's a power drawn from blood and unrelated to demons, in Tome of Bloodlines it's a result of inhereting knowledge of True Names from Moloch and Nergal....

  • What are you basing this on? There is nothing "infernalist" about Daimonion, it's just a discipline. You can learn it from any Baali the same way you learn Celerity or Necromancy. Heck, you can be a Baali and your aura would be exactly the same as any other vampire's. Infernalism is one thing, Daimonion and Baali are another....

  • There's nothing in Vicissitude's description saying that moving someone's eye to their ass makes them go blind or reduces their vision. Or that stretching someone's arm to be twice its normal size makes Or that Vicissitude has longterm health implications. So the only answer is that Vicissitude mystically bypasses all those issues, rewires nerves and ignores the laws of physics and biology....

Go to roll20, Vampire games happen rather frequently there.

This actually raises a good question - how lack of puberty will influence the mental development of a child vampire? Because they can't go through puberty. They are dead. They don't have hormonal changes. I'd assume they would be incapable of experiencing sexual attraction on account of undeveloped brains....

Which would be a fair point, if only vampires didn't revert to their moment-of-embrace visage every night. They can't even get tattoos without special merits....

  • "Each extra success". One to hit. The rest to damage.

No, it means exactly what it says - the damage is treated as one bullet. Not three. Not ten. One.

The unfortunate reality of automatic fire is that it is actually a trap. The probability of getting N successes doesn't change when you add ten dice and two to target number, but the probability of getting a botch goes slightly up. Only use automatic fire if your base dicepool is total shit, like two or less....

I can't actually name off the top of my head any fictional works dedicated to misery tourism. The idea of neverending spiral of doom and gloom as you lose all your shit and die seems alien to me. And I don't think dystopias count. "1984" ends with the protagonist beaten and broken, but the story is an alarmist tale about the society rather than the point of view character we get.

Horror stories tend to end with victory. Government agents swarm Innsmouth and shoot all the cultists and fishfolk. Freddy is banished to hell. Xenomorph is blasted into space. The Thing is successfully...

Jyhad is not canon, but it's the best we have. It puts him as a Samedi which means he's a vampire who is neither of the people you mentioned. The most reasonable answer would be that he's just a vampire who was embraced somewhere after 17th century and co-opted the local mythos....

The funny thing is that Samuel Haight's original idea was pretty good. He's a kinfolk who's been treated like shit by werewolves his entire life so he got really good at hunting supernaturals and is bringing the fight back to them. That's good drama. Garou society is awful and it's very easy to understand where Haight's comming from. But then someone thought there should be more Samuel Haight adventures... It's like the Watchmen sequel/prequel/whateverquel...

  • Enchanting Voice is the best merit there is for any character as it gives a blanket difficulty reduction for all social rolls. It won't reduce your discipline difficulty like, say, Ability Aptittude, but with Enchanting Voice you'll be able to get by on social skills without any Dominate at all.
