I second the question above. You keep dishing out talking points unconnected to anything that's in the movie.
How is it in any way about "societal forces that seek to ridicule and cover up that reality"? What possible part of the movie is about that?

I'm finding it really hard to parse what you are saying. What "joke" are you talking about? The movie "Joker" that I saw wasn't ridiculing anything.
IMHO, what the movie is saying is that being kind to people beyond the bare minimum demanded by politness and professional courtesy would go a long way to making everyone's lives better. Just, give a shit a little, without expecting anything in return.

This is exemplified in the character of Gary, who is the only person in the movie to pay attention to Arthur just because he can. And for that he is rewarded by the...

I strongly disagree with the idea that Joker is "legitimate" or is somehow legitimized by the anti-rich movement in this movie. Joker is almost entirely incidental to the movement. He accidentally becomes their mascot when he kills three businessmen, but Joker's motives are completely opaque to the people. And Joker himself openly states that he doesn't believe in anything and supports nothing. Behind his mask is no mere flesh, behind his mask is nothing. He is an anti-V. He is an empty suit on which the protesters project whatever they want. While Joker is never engaged with the protest...

V20 and DAV20 were written independently by different teams. They aren't consistent with each other.
So pick whichever rules you like.

  • The question is impossible to answer because "A Salubri" is not a character. Samiel and Raziel would do completely different things and reactions to them would be completely different.
That said, for most of the vampire world the reaction to the appearance of a Salubri methuselah would not be that different from a reaction to the appearance of a Ventrue methuselah or a Tremere methuselah or a Nagaraja methuselah. Most vampires weren't even alive when the Salubri got genocided, so a Salubri is just some exotic vampire to them.

  • There's nothing to suggest the Antediluvians, or even Caine, are immune or especially resistant to the blood bond.

In VtM - the Catholic Church is right more or less about everything and everyone else engages in various forms of self-delusion.

  • Debatable. "Hey give me your blood for analysis" is probably a big no-no even among the Tremere. And at one point the Tremere managed to lose an entire bloodline when they just didn't want to hang out anymore (Telyavs). So I don't think a Tremere showing up to the Salubri's 'chantry' is a definite endgame. It's a threat that can get way worse, but not an immediate cause for panic....

  • It's an NPC. Sure, why not. Considering Tremere have secret societies and rival sub-houses and elders who hate each other. It's far from improbable for a sufficiently well-informed Salubri to live as a Tremere by traveling a lot and avoiding cities with a large Tremere population.
The main difficulty is whatever the Tremere clan bond supposed to be. Can Tremere feel each other? If yes, then it's probably going to be hard to pass as a Tremere before other Tremere.

That being said, your NPC doesn't need to pass as a Tremere before other Tremere. He only needs to pass as a Tremere...

    Any of them.
Alleycat uses Oblivion to sneak up on people, intimidate them into submission, or see in the dark alleys without a flashlight.
Bagger uses Oblivion to see in the dark while breaking in, intimidate business partners, or trade medium services for blood.
Blood Leech I don't fucking know man, Blood Leech is stupid.
Cleaver uses Oblivion to sneak around the houses or accepts blood sacrifices for a seance with the beloved grandma.
Consensualist uses Oblivion to intimidate people into giving consent (what? Apparently "steal" and "lie" counts...
