  • *Looks at her literally thousands of hours on Paradox games*

A CK-Style Dinasty game (or a more local focused one, like playing in the Scavenger Lands or the Threshold, with the Realm as the big scary thing from beyond the sea which can send expeditions, finance your enemies and so) would be awesome....

It seems like you can´t. Maybe we shall use a external polling site?

Could an elemental develop powers outside its element? So, for example, could a Wood King of a forest in the farthest North develop some icy powers? Or if I want a tree-man who also can use ice powers, I need to go for a god/fae/demon/something like that?

Looking at the map, how much do you have to go into the borders before Creation stops being Creation and starts being the Wyld? For example, something like the Cinder Isles, do they follow normal Creation rules, not being very different from the Wavecrest Archipielago or Coral (in terms of physical weirdness, cultures would be completely different!) or they are places where "The fireflies are born from coals and can eat other fires" is just a logical thing?

"We are the reason the Wyld Hunt is justified" is a common one at my table...

Prasad has two clans, which alternate themselves in power due to the votes of rich citizens, thanks to lavish and expensive campaigns, and have a manifest destiny to defeat the horrible and primal monsters and savage civilizations which live in the Dreaming Sea... And plunder their treasures and resources.

Are their clan mons a donkey and an elephant, per chance? XD

Heart-Hardening Meditation lasts a whole scene, instead of a single instant like the Excellency. If you are going to resist more than one social influence roll in the same scene......

  • Me, after finishing our current Mage chronicle, which will end in around... 4 or 5 sessions, at this rhythm. We are playing a clan of outcaste Dragon-Blooded, pirate-kings of an island on the Cinder Isles, inspired in a mix of Aztecs and Polynesians....

This conversation and thread inspired me to write a post writing about what changed my gming style to "Ok, build a situation, let players do what they want there, they will carry the plot", which is what I suggested in this thread

As they said. You don´t. I think you can do it for other games, but Exalted is... too open-ended, and the characters have too much power, freedom and agency to be able to design a story and hope the players follow it.

Anyway, that´s cool. The best story you can tell is the one which emerges in play, in which both you and all of your players are interested. That´s the reason that my group and me always choose the campaign concept colaboratively, or at least wait until they choose their objectives/create their characters before working on the chronicle.

    What I do, and...

The Earth and Wood anima flux, which knocks you prone or poison you...

Does it always do it to you, when you suffer any initiative damage, or you have to be crashed and suffering "real" damage?

For example. I have 4 initiative, and lose a initiative point due to a Wood Dragon-Blooded anima flux. Am I poisoned or not?
