Most Hunters have some inkling of common occult knowledge though, so I think the terms of vampire, werewolf and witch may suffice. They may not know there are different types of vampires or that werewolves are a hybrid spirit entity but they would understand the base concept of a man who turns into a wolf.

That being said, for my TfV game info use psuedo scientific names for the different creatures. Such as Corpus Nocturnus for vampires, Homo Lycanthropus for werewolves, Corpus Incorporeus for ghosts and such. Some of that may not be proper naming but I'm too lazy to come up with...

I don't think we're talking about the God-Machine anymore, most of this has shifted to something that should really be on The Mage Forum.

Well, would you consider crashing a boat into one as fighting back a little bit?...

I actually quite liked the mechanical aspect, but I wanted more abrahamic interpretations for my specific world. I sidestepped with good ol' fashioned Gnosticism and Alchemy. I'd say Mage is more similar to The Matrix than GMC is. I didn't really like the GM that much at first either, but it has grown on me a little. I just have to mold it to fit into my setting. I could of course have not used it but I thought there were enough good ideas that it would be a shame to waste, though people here seem a bit jugey about wanting to use abrahamic and renaissance style Angels and Demons. I don't know...

Well Goetic Gospels are likely coming from Abyssal Entities. We know how those guys make magic go haywire....

It's first edition, it might take a bit of alteration to make it work....

  • Iron Masters, Presence+Expression. Use The Father's Form and blare out Powerwolf's "Night Of The Werewolf" while forming a mosh pit. When the songs over the hunt begins. They occasionally change the song up, sometimes it's "Son of A Wolf" but it's pretty much always Powerwolf.

The clear sighted merit from vampire 2e gives a human the ability to see past past obfuscate and says "other similar abilities". Could houserule it as being able to see past incognito since it works similarly to obfuscate.

The Soldiers can be sleepers but they'll need at least a couple Sleepwalker Knights with them. I came up with "Eldritch Rounds" for For my Task Force: Valkyrie game that did aggravated damage to mages and imposed a penalty on dice pools for spellcasting up to -5 from being shot. The idea was that an anonymous benefactor showed TFV enigmatic runes that messed with mages and their ability to do magic (abyssal runes most likely) and that is was entirely likely that R&D would find a way to adapt those runes to making wards and barriers that resisted magic or nullified it. I don't know...

  • It actually is possible to hurt yourself from improperly reading distance. Usually you end up hurting an ankle or a foot or your hand though and not really something that would take you out of a fight, except for that one time a guy broke his pinkie toe on the mat when fighting me in a tournament but that was more of a fluke....

  • I think that the perquisites make sense for the most part, it is mentioned that you don't necessarily need these merits to perform these maneuvers so I take the merits as meaning you have the training and physical acumen to do these maneuvers reliably. I have had gruff with the strength requirements on firearms before but that's mostly focused on their definition of a heavy and light pistol. I usually don't have problems with making a good fighter at chargen, but then I'm also well known in my social circles for my ability to min-max and abuse a system to it's fullest extent.
