  • I find it so strange that the psychopaths in WoD can find the needed harmony to work toghether, but not the heroes.

Thats why I always saw scenarios like the "Nephandic Infiltration" of both Union and Trads feels so unreal...

Oh, ok. Well, like Saikou said. Those are, however, only Umbrood from the High Umbra.

There is no equivalent of "True Angels", which would be the counter part of the "demons" trapped in the Abyss in Demon the Fallen.

But Umbroods are just fine for that role...

Yep, the War of Ascension is a HUGE imagination exercise. The possibilities are staggering.

How do a dreamspeaker Shaman fights? What tactics could he employ?

How does the agents fight such a RD back?

Furious Banes or Wyldlings insanely storming against the Men in Black? Does the land itself rises to fight those Technocratic abominations? Mud men rising from the ground, absurdly ancient monstruousities crossing dimensions to devour the technocrats...

How do the agents deal with those threats? Do they send in their unholy artificial creation?...

Are you talking about the Merit?

Because that "Guardian" could be anything you wanna - Vampire, Fera, mummy, an actual "angel" (whatever that may be for you - umbrood from high umbra or whatever)...

  • And so are the islamic Jihadists or christian Inquisitors.

Just because its in a book does it make it right?

Like 11twiggins said, thats akin to propaganda. "Look, you dont have to worry about those details. What I tell you is right because Im telling you it is right".

And again, its not a problem that the FICTIONAL Garou think that its ok to slice anyone in their way... Hell, I think the books should even stop all their BS and start putting the Garou and other Fera wanting nothing short than GENOCIDE for humans.... I would definetly play a game...

  • I think Garou can't be transgenders... They would simply "heal" it all back right?

So.... What's the point of all that discussion?

Or, is it about the viewpoint of Furies towards HUMANS?...

  • Thanks for the unrequested history class that I already knew and that has nothing to do with my point

First of all, you are talking EXACTLY like a religious fanatical. So, I wont discuss it further with you because it would be futile.
And no, no SANE person wants to be brutally tortured in order to have its guilty and pain brainwashed away.
Besides, if you believe in ANY of the bullshit you're talking, its very easy, just adopt the barbaric practices of medieval monks and inflict self torture, whip yourself in order to "purify", its easy....

  • Hey, I even find a hell of a fun to play with Red Talons (my favorite tribe), they just wanna rip humans off, and thats it.

And... They ALSO dont think they are villains or monsters.

And thats how ALL the Gaian theocracy should be seem BY THE PLAYERS.

    As an evil death cult.

You know, real life terrorists also think they are blessed heroes doing the will of god or fighting for a better world.

Thats how I see werewolves, as fanatics on a evil death cult, and that to me is OK.

I dont see why thats a problemas, but I think...

  • Pain is a tool?

Oh my god, Im finding all the modern days inquisitors

Look, I share the opinions of 11twiggins. I think its ok for the fictional Garou to have those... Disturbing ideas.

They are monsters after all! Its part of the fun play with those inhuman beasts who share monstruous believes.

But, what really disturbes me is how the players take those ideas of the game as their own. How can you ADVOCATE PAIN?

Hey, why dont we torture all those lost souls inside our prisons? Right? We should torture them all, until we can "CURE"...

  • By that description, you just said that a place like the Christian hell is a good thing.

Oh, all those sinners back there, they are wicked and evil, Satan worshippers, so its obviously a good thing that they burn and suffer and beg and cry, because their souls are tainted, they didnt followed the laws of the Lord, so to burn in hell is a perfect expression of our God perfect goodness...

  • You know, I also heard that fire is an excelent purifocation for the soul; the Inquisition proved that when it purified all those wiches souls... Thank God for that, otherwise their souls would be with Satan now.

    Right?...

Oh, I see. So, I couldn't make myself clear, Im sorry.

Lets say, the Technocracy is more powerful than the Traditions (or the weird alliance of the remnants outside the Trads). The Technocracy have a better organizational hierarchic system (its built as a military/governamental institution), they have more Nodes, more Tass, more Devices, more resources, more personal... Basically, they have more. Oh, and they have more of the Consensus either.

That has always been the entire premisse of Mage from day 1 (when the Union were more of a rumor, and an agent were a fearsome...

  • Yeah, Im still getting the feel of my beautiful, aromatic, platonic, sublime, and brand new M20... Im living it. ALMOST perfect. Almost.

The book has several improvements overall on MANY rules, I loved all its charts for magik, I'll be adopting most of its changes (with a few exceptions)

But the Spheres descriptions SUCKS ON A COSMIC LEVEL. My dear god, Im luck I hadn't have to learn Mage by M20, because it would've been A FREAKING MESS. I heard some guys here saying that they never had contact with the previous versions... For any of those out there, how can you play...

  • I understand what Faradn wants. This whole "evil for the evil" just seems... Pointless. We try to seek some sense to it, because we must...

However, real life psychopaths are simply evil. They lack empathy, and thats all. No utter motives, no higher logic, no nothing. Just barbaric sadism....

And, there is no pattern bleeding if you make changes permanent...

Its not FINAL VICTORY. There's a difference in there. The Technocracy, however, had always been in the winning side.

This is, after all, the Technocratic reality. Or would you deny it?...

One last note: if you, for example, would look a veeeery old suplement, like "Book of Chantries", you would get for example, all the main nodes (not all, mind you, just the bigger ones) that feed(ed) major Traditionalists and Techies' Realms, like Horizon, Doissetep, Autochtonia, etc. A major chapel like Doissetep, for example, had some dozens of what in M20 would be 5-10 nodes connected to it by ley lines, and probably hundreds of 1-4 nodes not described (just mentioned). A chantry like Doissetep could lose several of those Nodes without even noticing.

    About "supernaturals...
