  • Each to their own really. Having options to choose from is a boon for everyone. Besides making the sun into a non-entity isn't what I'd want. Its only the burning up part that I personally don't care much for. I find it much more interesting to have it weaken and sicken them with all the mental anguish and fear that comes with that. That is just me though. Granted VtM vamps in terms of power are among the more upper tier ones from what I've seen of other takes on vampires....

  • I prefer more than the sun weakens and sickens them so they become easy prey for even the weakest of humans, but thats just me. In VtM I stick to its general decision on it within reason.

  • I should point out that I've never been a fan of the sun setting them on fire thing to begin with.

  • When it comes to the sun, I'd err on the side of making vampires able to function to be honest. Thus direct sunlight would be required for actual damage and I wouldn't have them auto-freak out just by seeing it either(although if a player wanted to do that, I'd let them), but thats just me.

  • If thats the case then how can WoD vampires function during the night? Because the light from the moon is reflected sunlight. Going by how strict it seems to be from what I've read in this thread, vamps should basically be avoiding the sunlight reflected by the moon too. Granted I'm a newbie insofar as WoD lore and mechanics go, but this seems a bit... off....
