  • There is the fan netbook out there called Aberrant Nexus. It introduces the idea of Mega Willpower and that has an enhancement called Crucible which if taken several times can reduce Taint levels, but its definitely for high levels play. You can't really get rid of permanent Taint until Mega Willpower 8 which of course requires Quantum 8. Its worth noting that high levels of Taint precludes you from taking Mega Willpower at all so you have to be a good boy and buy nothing Tainted. Its a good addition to the game for 1st edition as defenses against Mega Socials and mental powers were lacking. While...

  • I think historically the game was well developed from Aberrant to Trinity. I have to say I love the orginal Aberrant game warts and all. I've been running my game usign those rules off and on before Trinity Continuum was on the horizon. I drew heavily off fan material from EON and rpgpost and it grew organically. I am now preparing to move up to the Aberrant War and I have even started a Trinity: Aeon game based off the Aberrant history I have developed. Despite this I am not moving my Aberrant game to the new version as it won't click well. I'd have to bolt on too many things to make it work....

  • Well the rules don't give you an xp break for them, but for something as limited as Cooking (compared to say Pilot or Arts) I'd probably make them cheaper. Then again there are original skills like Might that don't seem to have a lot of utility outside of lifting and breaking and even that is made useless (or functionally so) by a single level of Mega Strength (which gives 5 auto successes to the strength + might roll). YMMV....

  • You don’t always have to use the attribute listed above the ability everytime. Also the Player’s guide already expanded the abilities with things like I listed above, though I would say its probably not worth investing xp in for just cooking.

  • You might consider Etiquette, Arts, or Survival depending on your whim and/or circumstances. The alternative is to make Cooking a new Ability like Riding or Heavy Weapons. If you go the new ability route I'd make it an Intelligence skill. See the Player's Guide for that.

Classic Inanna. She is one angry lady.

What stories are those? I love reading about those ancient myths. Is there a recommended source for them? Thanks for the insight. I suspected it might be the case.

So that Anunna update is interesting. I would not have pegged Ishtar for having Epic Strength or Epic Dexterity, but rather Sky and Stars instead. Mesopotamian myth is complex though because of how old it is. I admit I am not a scholar and may not know the full stories of her existence. I also would have pegged her for a Liminal calling instead of a Trickster, but the line can be fine for that and I can see both sides of the coin....

I think I am most interested in the new pantheons, particularly the Mesopotamian gods. Ishtar I am looking at you. I am curious how they discuss their various mantles and associations with cities in some cases. Though the first chapter is the chapter I didn't know I wanted. The path to ascension was never really talked about in the 1st edition so this is good stuff.

Looking at the preview, it almost looks like you must assume some existing divinity’s mantle to ascend. Am I reading that wrong ordid I miss something?

  • I would say Barbara was pretty enlightened and she always opposed needless death if she saw it. Since no one bothered to educate her otherwise from the culture about the why’s she might be forgiven. Also that particular story made me really look at Ian who was one badass school teacher and serious renaissance man.

  • You are better off seeking this out on the roll20 forums. I know requests are in, but as those sheets are almost all done by users it takes time to build and upload. As I understand it there is a backlog too as I recently started exploring Roll20 for a Aeon game myself.
