  • I like her, I like her art and I like her story. It is a bit disappointing though, as I was hoping Adversaries of the Righteous would offer more mechanically unique characters rather than a character constructed as a Solar using Solar Charms. I hope that other products in the series are more interesting, so I will continue to support it if they are.

Games of Divinity is definitely a good buy even if you're not otherwise interested in 1e's supplements, and it's very useful in 3e.

There's a bunch of creatures in the Rolls of Glorious Divinity that get write ups which are a bit better in Games of Divinity.

I would caution against relying on Rolls to understand elementals conceptually in 3e because they work a little bit different now and the emphasis is less on serving a purpose or a function and more on them being emergent phenomena. Some of them serve some kind of purpose, though!

    On the topic of their...

I think the flavor text of a lot of these charms could use more punching up for a final draft, just because it feels kind of barren and utilitarian and it'd be cool to get that majestic Prince of the Earth mood off of the Charms.

I like the mechanics too, but it's hard to really get a sense of things because these charms are out of the context of the greater charmset. They all seem like fun effects.

Excited for the next one to provide a little bit more context.

When do poisons or environmental hazards proc in a round? If I apply a poison and they reduce the duration to 1 round, does it last for the rest of the round that I applied it on or the next one?

  • That they're not entirely interesting on their own and absent mechanics it's better not to constrain things by them.

Like, take the Fair Folk for instance. Graces? Cool. They got the potential to be even cooler now because they aren't constrained by Virtues....

If you're interested in doing the intellectual work, Imagined Communities by Benedict Anderson is a seminal text for the study of Nationalism. If you read it you'll have a very strong sense of theory and how it informs the modern day, though you should try to investigate the specific circumstances of a given Nationalism to best understand the situation that produced it.

Stormcaller doesn't break theme with how Orichalcum works natively as per the corebook description. I bring this up not because that description is a straightjacket, but because you keep saying it and I think its been pointed out a couple of times, so it bears repeating that even in a framework where artifacts are obligated only to their primary magical material as an endpoint for their capabilities, Stormcaller is not in violation of that idea.

How the Eternity Pillar would work would depend upon the execution, but the capacity for white jade to serve as a source of stability or...

This is a weird question, but I remember awhile ago reading an off-hand comment or maybe something in the book about a place in the Scavenger Lands where someone rules because they have a Warstrider and used it to take over the kingdom. By any chance, if that is real does said Warstrider appear in Arms of the Chosen?

Obviously it doesn't super matter, I just thought that was a fun idea.

Nevermind the fact that the Dissonant keyword is not an absolute applied to every Charm, and its effects on a given Charm may not be an issue such that you don't want to use the weapon. The disincentive to use Dissonant weapons is highly circumstantial.

Totally fair. Looking forward to it whenever it gets further developed.

Is there anything you'd be willing or able to say about Y'danna? Broad strokes or some hint of what the place is like?...

Eric Minton if possible, do you have any info you'd be willing to share about Prasad's caste system?

As someone who likes Dragon-Blooded and would really like to play one, I feel like it's worth observing that Dissonant as a keyword doesn't actually inhibit your ability to use your magic weapon, just limits the highest potential you can get out of it.

So Dragon-Blooded being dissonant with other materials besides Jade doesn't mean that they wouldn't ever use other artifact weapons at all.

Like, the Outcaste walking around in Orichalcum Articulated Plate doesn't need to be neutral with it to actually use it, and it's not like there's a lottery of artifact plate armor...

Yeah. At the very least, I feel like having starmetal, moonsilver and orichalcum all at neutral doesn't quite feel right to me, and makes me wonder where we'll ever see Dissonant actually come up.

Whoa. That seems like a mixture of a loaded question and jumping to conclusions? Chill.

The eras bit for Arms of the Chosen weapons is really fun. Out of curiousity, is there any interest in explaining however briefly what the Eras are in reference to? Not like, pinning down the whole time, but giving a broadstrokes. Like the War of the Gods sounds like when the Exalted and the Incarnae rose up and slew their enemies, but what is the Gossamer Dawn Epoch?...

When was the Gossamer Dawn Epoch? That's a colorful name! It sounds like it's during the First Age and things have not gone totally sour yet.

Gnomon is really cool and I love it. I like how it feels like it hit a good compromise between balance and facilitating the awesome effect. Vance mentioned the time-freezing wrackstaff and it did not disappoint.

I think the idea is that Vajra is a specific Longfang with a capacity to return, rather than a category of weapons.

Will the Realm book detail stuff like fashion and culture in the Realm? I'd love to have a good sense of cultural identity for the Blessed Isle to highlight the distinctness for those Islanders who visit the Threshold....
