For establishing the setting, I need to know what are their intention and if those intentions will affect the PCs. After that, I used them if needed only.

I'm running Vienna, so Etrius appeared for a brief moment to the Tremere PC (he captured an inquisitor with true faith, and useful for one of Etrius rituals), and for instruction of a lesser ritual via Oneiromancy as a reward to the PC.

I used Mithras for an individual prelude scene for the Ventrue PC in '91, cellar beneath Centre Point office, London (right after his rise from torpor) and Kartarirya in Colombo, Sri...

  • Please, PLEASE no more Drowned Legacies. They are awful, specially to people from South America.

The Tlacique were a really interesting concept as long as they were an offshoot of either the aztec methuselahs, the Baali or pre-Montano Lasombra, but when that concept was thrown to the trash, the drowned legacies became the most uninteresting, absolute zero hype of Vampire The Masquerade.

    replied to about Enkidu
Enkidu was written in a time in which disciplines levels justified the stuff writers wanted him to do. There was no depth into how Enkidu learned Vicissitude from the Tzimisce beyond that he had the power levels of the disciplines and that's it. The character was more of an idea for the ST to use rather than a story rich background to establish a chronicle on (beyond the fact that a 4th generation Gangrel from the Epic of Gilgamesh makes an extremely interesting background for a story).

    Alexandra / Callisti & Callisto:

During her reign as Prince of Buenos Aires and Montevideo she felt a summon as powerful as that of her sire, only that it was targeted to not only her but all who shared her age and proximity of generation to Caine. Her rule as Prince was never due to sect allegiance but to remain in control as long as she could pursue her quest within the unmaped road, yet, this summon interfered with her millennia old preparations for the suspire. Alexandra knew of the existence of clanless indigenous kindred within her territories but had a centuries old understanding...

  • They only lost factions of the church due to Fabrizio Ulfila. The Sabbat DID have interest in mortal affairs through the Kings and Queens of Shadow faction of the Lasombra.

  • The first invasion, called the Ash Plan, was going great for the kueijin until the great maelstrom caused by the bombing of Enoch in early 1999. It caused mayhem destroying many kueijin, including mandarins. The Righteous Foreign Vanquishing Crusaders (as they called themselves) were depleted as the anarchs began to strike back. After the betrayal of his lieutenant Monkey Trip Wu, Mandarin Hao, the head of the whole operation, committed ritual suicide (meeting the Eye of Heaven).

On the other side, the alternate plan that wasn't failing was under Jiejie Li, called Two Fang Serpent...

  • Well, kuejin can achieve dah, ascend to heaven and cease their curse, so yeah, that's something a Cainites can never do even in Golconda. Kueijin, though systematically weaker in higher power levels, they are creatures that the entire spirit worlds are accessible to them, that's something that Cainites are very limited to do so.

    Obtenebration ftw

It was an interesting concept it's void-ish relation towards Necromancy, not convicing enough though.

  • His most trusted childe can be Balthazar so i'd point his location somewhere between modern day Iran and Tajikistan. He traveled as far as to Athens when he embraced Alexander in 700 BC or Gaul for Antonius in 500 BC and got to Rome after its fall in the 6th century to embrace Maltheas, that's his last recorded entry (perhaps only known to the roman Inconnu).

I'd like to believe that the Beckoning was partially on his behalf.

Balthazar appeared in only two sources, Dark Ages Companion and Encyclopaedia Vampirica (semi-canon since it was translated from the german Vampire line by Feder und Schwert). He is a childe of [Ventrue] and most probably the eldest of them all, it's a shame he wasn't mentioned in the retconned of the other 4th generation Ventrue of DA Companion V20. Before this revision, the original childer were Balthazar, Medon, Mithras, Alexander and Antonius.

Both Anushin Rawan and Ea Adapa has to be considered 5th generation and most probably contemporaries of Arakur and Tiamat.

House Tremere Inner Council is believed to have all started at 5th, since all their childer are 6th.

In my chronicles I established that Tremere embraced only Lucidus (HoT, pg. 137) as a failsafe since he is the only one who defeated Tremere when they were both mages.

Malkav, and Lasombra transcended their flesh, whatever they are, they no longer need to be a vampire.

Tzimisce might just prove to be unkillable.

The thing with Hardestadt was that Tyler diablerized an unnamed Ventrue elder who promoted the Camarilla (published in 1991 and then 1993 the 2nd ed). He was introduced by name in Children of the Inquisition (1992) but wasn't even mentioned in Clanbook Ventrue (1994). As he was mentioned as 5th generation (yet no single trait at 8 in neither GC1 nor GC2) perhaps dates of him in the past didn't add up and decided to create "the Younger" in TCII (1998) but the pieces still fit together.

Anne was introduced in A World of Darkness (1992) and her character was assumed diablerist...

When the same book has the same misinformation in stats on generation (Hardestadt as 5th, when it is widely known that the one appearing was 6th generation "the Younger"), it appears that the fact is that stats were of the generation they were posing as, not their true ones, therefore, Maltheas being 4th and not 5th, just like Hardestadt a paragraph away from this.

replied to When was The Feast of Folly?
There never was a specific dating of the event in any book. The only reference we have is Khurshid embrace (BJD, pg. 468), which embrace date + "century long civil war" can roughly be put around 775 (aprox). This time is also when Derinkuyu was used by the byzantines to protect themselves from the muslims. Perhaps someone from the lineage of Byzar was involved in this.

Actually, the thing is not about "much younger" but more on the "much younger generation" issue, which specifically erases any doubt on Veddartha not being 3rd generation.

Veddartha was [Ventrue] until V20 authors decided that it wasn't so anymore.
