Yeah, it was updated as Enochian Passage (Necromancy ritual level 5) in V20 Rites of the Blood.

  • Beckett has Auspex in at least 2, he checked Lucita's aura in Gehenna The Final Night novel.

And yeah, putting it that way, Auspex 1 is extremely powerful (and demanding to the ST).

In V20 there are two places with level 6 or higher rituals (Dread Names: The Red List and Tome of Secrets). The only ritual I recall now of Necromancy above 5 ever is Orpheus Descent, level 6 (from Players Guide to High Clans).

I agree with you on the expanded preludes and settings of what already exists. Such thing has been a hobby of mine for 20 years at least. I too suit modules to my chronicles, even have the PCs live the event through different POV than protagonists or antagonists. Sometimes I set them work an event around what happened (like the Great Leap Outward from Kindred of the East, I used the prelude from Night of Prophecy, the one that turned out as failure due to the Sixth Maelstrom).

I was content enough up to revised on how they portrayed the Baali. Presenting ur-Shulgi in both Children of the Night, Clanbook Assamite Revised and the novel was a great idea. The horror ur-Shulgi imposed to the Assamites back in the day was an amazing story seed for any game. Having ur-Shulgi being something other than one of the oldest 4th generation Assamite sorcerers, takes what he once was meant to be. Of course, any crafty ST can work around such idea if one wants to have him as the Unnamed, but I feel like it is STs laziness to just use ur-Shulgi and don't create a story around someone...

    "Flood":
Historical accuracy: The disappearance of the Clovis culture is being recently tied to the Younger Dryas extinction event, which apparently was caused by a meteor impact in Greenland (Hiawatha crater), assumingly causing a massive worldwide rise of the ocean level. This happened in 9500 BC.

Second City (after the war with the 2nd generation):
Demon-venerating vampire War. Haqim leaves the Second City and returns with the sorcerer caste. For a century, Assamites and Salubri purges every single devil-worshipper in the Second City.

Originally the're was only Shaitan, childe of Ashur during Chaos Factor (1995) up to Dark Ages Companion (1997) and he had 12 followers from the other clans.

Then it changed to 3 (Nergal/Shaitan, Moloch, and the Unnamed) in Clanbook Baali (1998) and most of the publishing time of revised edition, in which Saulot sired all three of them.

Due to an tease left out of Clanbook Assamite revised, it was believed that ur-Shulgi could have been the third "unnamed" in 2000, though this was only speculation, since the same author gave another origin (also left out) about...

Their relationship is in Victorian Age trilogy, then expanded in Beckett Jyhad Diary.

They met in Pasargadae, Persia in 341 BC. They were lovers, then Kemintiri betrayed him when she turned Noushad, childe to be of Mithras, against him.

    Roman Republic era.

I gathered some info on it and I love that period for Vampire (sorry for the long post)

    325 BC:
Mithras chooses Noushad for the embrace with the approval of Kemintiri. "Daeva", a personification created by Kemintiri, reaches Pasargadae, becomes Noushad's lover. Noushad betrays Mithras and the Prince leaves to find out who corrupted his son. Mithras discovers "Daeva" to be Kemintiri and flees from Persia.
    [VA-VT3, pg. 11-13]

Between 331 BC and 167 BC:
Camillus spares Artemis Orthia and Lysander's unlives...

  • Have to agree on this.

I really enjoyed it and usually go back to it for inspiration to write scenes and stories.
