  • Helena vs. Menele happened before Chaos Factor (Huitzilipochtli) and Mexico City by Night (all the Aztec methuselahs).

Mictlatencuhtli went to torpor around 615, much earlier than the coming of the europeans to america, and he resided in the Mayan territory of Tzental.

To make sense of all this, Menele might have felt the presence of other methuselahs and simply chose to evade their territory, he was weakened, he almost died fighting Helena years before.

Helena most probably didn't entered Tenochtitlan as soon as the conquistadors did. She might have waited...

  • Nergal/Shaitan disappeared around 15th century BC after the cataclysm in Knossos, from that time on it is unknown where he'd been or when he reached America. Menele fought Helena in Spain in the end of the 14th century, then he was taken to America (probably from Cadiz). There is a huge geographical distance between the aztecs of Tenochtitlan (Mexico DF, where Shaitan was) and the algonquian of Shikaakwa (Chicago, where Menele established himself).

I highly doubt it. Gotsdam is an outcast, plus there is the downside of his lineage and who his sire is and what she did.

  • Shaitan didn't impersonated the god Huitzilopochtli, he actually was him. Probably the aztecs based their stories from him, though alternatively, the myth existed before he reached America and yes, did take the god's place in Tenochtitlan.

I always thought Irving Boldger (sire of Jochen Van Nuys) as childe of Jan Pieterzoon, so "the even Younger" could probably be him.

If this is happening then House High Saturday would be a great plot seed for PCs in New Orleans

By lineage, it should be Rosenkrantz the Elder (if still alive) or Rosenkrantz the Younger (who appeared in Gehenna).

I agree with you, it's themes and cultures are alien to us gweilo/gaijin, but they can be gradually implemented in the game in order to prevent a plethora of exposition of cultural information at once. STing KotE TAKES TIME and it is thrice demanding as ST, but once your players begin to feel the game, it is really entertaining.

  • Nergal's embrace was revisited several times. First it appeared to be from 4500 BC (as being Second City era, but this is inaccurate) from Chaos Factor, then revisited in Dark Ages Companion, being during the First City (but revisited later in Clanbook Baali as a fake origin story). The only accuracy one can deduce is that he is older than Japeth, therefore embraced before 7300 BC at the very least, and before Saulot went to the east and embraced Mokur (of the Jomon people, which appeared around 10000 BC).

  • Writers of Vasilisa from Nights of Prophecy stated her age around 14000-12000 years old back in the old forums, so if she was embraced post deluge, the First City is before that. On an archaeological POV, the younger dryas extinction event was around 11500 BC which is supposed to be where the biblical/hindu/sumerian flood was supposedly based from, but I doubt white-wolf writers were aware of this since it is a recent research.

As a regular KotE ST, it takes a while to feel comfortable within the system and the setting. At first, one must research a lot and become familiar on how to apply both culture and system. Perhaps the first sessions will feel incomplete and odd, but once you manage to establish the vibe on BOTH setting and system with your players, it is a really great game.

On the question at hand, I don't think that it must be changed much. Yes, the lack of background on the courts, the way the NPCs were established in the few books that had them (SF by Night didn't even established the Second Breath...

  • What happened in the novels is not canon in its entirety. I don't think that V5 will keep Mithras being Jack the Ripper, the staking and probable death of Edward Bainbridge by Valerius, or the existence of Anton Wellig.

  • There are no paths for their Thaumaturgy. Such entry is wrong (like most of the wiki information). The Wiki might be useful for new people who want to know about the World of Darkness, but once you know a lot, you understand that it is full of wrong entries and mistakes (like the release date of Clanbook Lasombra revised IIRC).

Baba Yaga and Louhi have a Blood Magic unique to themselves, much like ur-Shulgi.

  • Camilla was mentioned in Clanbook Ventrue at first, then the character got mentioned somewhere in the web by an ongoing chronicle by Myranda Kalis, Janet Trautvetter and Sarah Roark, there Camilla was "Marcus Justinius Camilus" from which I believe it was based from Marcus Furius Camilus, the so-called second founder of Rome. When Myranda wrote Road of Sin for DA Vampire, I expected she kept that name but decided to change it to Titus Venturus Camilus and make his a Sinner (which was awesome!).

And as you said, I agree with you in dislike of V20 DA idea of him becoming Prince...

  • Yeah, Villon has stats in A World of Darkness 1st ed and then he appeared in TC3. but if you compare those appearances and his stats of World of Darkness: France, he became ridiculously buffed in that french book (Presence 8, and Viceratika 3 at least IIRC).

  • "Approved" to exist, just like Vienna and Frankfurt by Night (which were done by Feder und Schwertz) but nowhere near canon. Not even white-wolf's own first trilogy (Masquerade of the Red Death) is canon.

  • How Villon was buffed in that book (he even had Viceratika just because!) and many other stuff (like Xarca, 4th generation Lasombra), no. It was never taken as canon, EVER.

  • My greatest question is how did Geoffrey and Salianna fell in order to have Villon rule Paris later? Ma-ri-ah searched for all of Michael's childer after she diablerized the Patriarch so her killing them both is the most probable theory I have.

  • Prince Datura of Veracruz (6th generation Ventrue), she still holds even in a place plagued with Sabbat as Mexico.

Prince Alexandra of Buenos Aires (4th or 5th generation Toreador), I like to consider her as Callisti & Callisto as Clanbook Toreador 2nd ed implies, therefore she is "countless millennia old" and her power within the Camarilla would be inmesurable.

Prince Marcus Vitel (5th generation Lasombra). Reasons mentioned above.
