Not really, they could have thickened blood after "A Gehena event" as they become Methuselahs. Maybe each "Gehenna Event" could be the metaphorical flood, so "Antidiluvians" are those that predate the Gehenna events.

Now, I prefer Gehenna always being around the corner, never to arrive; but the cycle idea is feasible if you want it to work.

The problem is what to do with the end of a chronicle, especially a Chronicle of ages. When you have played through 1000 years and get to the modern day, you can't realistically try to present the future...

Ghouls:Fatal addition talked about the "Clan Weakness" Coming across into a ghoul after a long time as a ghoul.
Now, there have been plenty of options for "Clan Weakness" over the edition, but look for a watered down version of whatever the Dominitor has; I'd go with susceptibility to mind control rather than their appearance changing.

But; it was an optional rule, more designed for those playing ghouls. Check out Fatal Addiction for the full details.

Almost every elder will have evaded a problem in this way at least once, or they probably wouldn't have survived. Inquisition - Torpor, let the Inquisitors, their children and grandchildren die of old age before I worry about anything again...

Originally in the House of Tremere Books, there were rules for Stone Cats and Razor Bats, animals that were gargoyle-like creations that worked quite well in the mix.
But technically there is no restriction on anyone creating a ghoul unless it's in their Clan/Bloodline weakness (or bad enough generation/flaws)

  • I don't think that is factored into the Streamlined combat.
But if there were dice after the streamlined soak, potence could turn them into autos.

As a player of a lot of Dark Ages Vampire, the feeling for our characters was always that Gehenna was imminent. There was the feeling that the end could occur, the ancients could wake at any time.

  • There is a Thaumaturgy ritual that you can get at higher level than Awake with Evening's Freshness that lets you stay awake in the one room that it's cast in.
Some versions of Temporis could help.

But realistically; High Humanity/Path is the only way for most vampires to act themselves, ghouls and other retainers operate during the day for our vampires.
It could be an interesting addition to your game to have the players playing their ghouls during the day if there's a lot of stuff that needs to be done

  • This is a really well written bloodline, the weakness is pretty detrimental, harsher probably than no Appearance when you have an in clan discipline that avoids the problem.
I'd suggest writing something into it about being able to "Teach" the trick at waking to other Nos-embraced Revenants as a merit to join the bloodline.

  • On PVP
    - I prefer to Treat all "Story Telling" games like "telling" a "story".
George R R Martin aside, if you keep killing off the protagonists, the story won't progress, so I talk to any other people I'm playing with that I expect we may have differences and fights, but for some reason (Even if it ends up being purely OOC) these characters are the protagonists of the story and will move on together to advance that greater story. [Does not usually apply to LARPs]

    Malkavian (And Sabbat Invasion)
Well, here I may contradict myself. If...

    Celerity?
It's not a free round, it's a free attack. Previous editions have given surprise rounds, so splitting is fine in a round.
    Usual rounds apply after that.

Otherwise if you could use Celerity to get multiple attacks each time you can make an attack; it would cascade until blood expenditure caps were hit.
    If you follow me.

Blood Thaumaturgy and rituals will tell you who someone is bound to. If the answer is "No Body" after drinking Vitae from the Regent - He can safely assume that you're unbondable because you don't have a blood bond at 3 or a vaulderie rating

Nosimplehiway - Sabbat Priests have ways of monitoring Vaulderie ratings as well. Running there is not going to be as unnoticable as you advise, but probably straight to True Sabbat.

Lore of the Clans p51 (Box on the right)

Rules afterwards, that I won't reprint

    - Focused Rage (1pt. Merit) - I can't remember which old book this was in, it's not V20 core, companion or Lore of the clans.
You have partially transcended the blood fury of your clan by focusing your Beast's anger. Select one frenzy condition from the chart on page 265 of Dark Ages: Vampire… When faced with that provocation, you automatically frenzy. You do not suffer the usual difficulty increase to other frenzy conditions, however. The Storyteller must approve...

  • You know; that could be an interesting reason for _why_ there are no Ahrimanes v1 arround in modern nights. Maybe they started being hunted by thirsty Methuselahs, maybe the majority of them got cushy jobs turning human blood into Vitae but the Methuselah frenzied and Diablerised them all, leaving the remaining "Free range" Ahrimanes to hide within the Gangrel line, slowly incorporating the weakness. Then in modern nights the Ahrimane v2 diverge as a bloodline again....

Even the Camarilla, that theoretically "Doesn't believe" in the Antidiluvians, but discusses the clans who take their names from them. The Tremere have all heard of, and are partially blood bound to TREMERE himself. Ventrue can trace their lineage to [Ventrue]

It's a mess of hypocrisy in game without worrying about ingame/out of game conflicts.

In the Gehenna book, Each Antediluvian has a different way of impacting those connected to them. For [Tzimesce] it is anyone that has a dot of Vicissitude because the Fiend has mostly evolved past being a vampire into Vicissitude.
For Malkav, it's anyone that looks into the eyes of a Malkavian, because [Malkav] has become what is know as the madness network.

But IN GENERAL, (Without explicit extra rules) it is just the descendants within the "Clan" that are affected....

  • How does it affect PCs? Like a lot of the Metaplot, however much the GM wants it to? Ur-Shugli calls on Assamite PCs (or nearby PCs) to do acts against their moral judgement, killing other Assamites, finding relics with Infernal taint to be sent back to Alamut instead of Destroyed. With his Awakening; directing the clan slightly differently in a way that PCs can notice and investigate....

  • ON Methuselah's Thirst

Firstly, the wording in the books is that you only gain sustanance from Supernatural blood. so you can't feed on humans or animals anymore

Then you will suddenly care for this individual, a poor soul embraced to live in this torment forever. Then you start feeling bad for doing this too them, because you would now do anything for them.

Feeding Sparsely on a city's population of kindred could work; a 1 step blood usually fades after 1 month.
Take 2-3 off each member when you need to feed, use one of your phenomenal powers...
