  • One Mind, Two Thoughts (Mind •)
    Practice: Compelling
    Primary Factor: Duration
Suggested Rote Skills: Academics, Expression, Science
The subject may hold two individual and wholly distinct trains
of thought at once, as long as neither is physically demanding.
She can perform two separate Mental or Social extended tasks
at the same time. Neither task can be a purely Physical task,
but the subject can carry on a conversation while composing a
sonnet, or write a poem while researching scientific discoveries.
The subject is incapable of multitasking...

  • Falcon777 Being able to do one physical action that contains itself in astral is also a better version of the spell.

  • And its based on different mechanics. As it is written now it doesn't allow for astral travel.
    I'll show you.
I love going to theater and "watch" movies with my girlfriend. - means that I don't in fact watch any movies there
When in the Astral Realms, one of the actions may be purely “Physical.” - means that action is not entirelly Physical which indicates that it must be undertaken in Astral

Edit: Or maybe I just copy quirks from my native language and interpret it wrong. Compelling seems to be not enough to be in two dimensions at once, though.

  • You don't need to Make or Unmake anything to do this, don't you? So the answer is 'yes'....

  • Quote marks on "Physical" indicate that it's not normal physical action but one that takes place in Astral. It would be too much for a first dot spell, but nothing stops you from doing some Weaving with this function....

  • You can skip meditation with a Mind however.

In the Night (• to ••, Style)
    Prerequisites:
Status (GotV), Resolve •••, Time (for two dot effect)

Breeze (•) Constant focus allows to react and hide signals your spell give under a different signal. Whenever your character registers a PMS ping it can cast in the very same moment a reflexive spell that won't be registered by PMS. Mana and Reach must be paid normally.

    Steady Wind (•
) Extending senses in time allows to cast instant spell instead of a reflexive one. (Requires Time • )

What do you think about universal '+1 Reach: Change relative anchor point of Area of Effect.'? You could make it around a traveling mage, an item or vehicle....

So you can't detect shit. Spells and powers used in Twilights go unnoticed. Vampires Auspex goes unnoticed. Knowing practices generally go unnoticed. AMS also. Some Moros shapes stack of coin into a swan in her purse? No sound, no sight input. Nothing.
Only thing you could perceive is a fireball. "Yup, thats a spell, I'm telling you Mike. Swear to god that my sixth sense is tingling."

I'm thinking about it too but didn't make up my mind yet....

Yea, I remember something. But if it's an extra sense it could not care for walls. The same if it can be perceived with normal senses, hearing for example. Do spells hum or you can't perceive them until affected by them?

High Speech seems to be a great indicator of someone intentions. There should be even some traditional formula of "I come with no ill intentions... bla bla bla". And those who lie in HS by using spell should be severely punished....

  • Great. Generating an expert program is impossible without a highly advanced (as in 'intelligent') sorting algorithm and then actually sorting it. If it is true you could also make this spell:

Jesus Christ... It's Jason Bourne! (Forces 3)
    Practice: Weaving
    Primary Factor: Duration

By connecting to the digital media around him the mage is able to track target by analyzing his social media accounts, network activities, facial recognitions, gsm, gps and satellite feedback scans.

+2 Reach: Something, something, leave no trace of database access....

I think that might be "the mages know, and are absolute detectives" part of setting. *shrug* but maybe it isn't so controversial to change as I thought.

This is actually a question about common sense and what customs would emerge from world working as it works (from mechanics). So. Let's talk customs.

PMS is tingling for every non veiling or veiled spell that is in vicinity. Is it irritating? What is vicinity? Does it go off for your spells?
Every ping is a potential attack.
Mage is always aware of CoW. He is not aware if he...

  • You can. Kind of. Its the same principle as in "every mind is a mind and you don't need Spirit to affect spirits mind".
So when you superimpose material and shadow with co-location you can do it just fine but since you can't see ephemera the other place will be 'empty' for you. And now I tell you why.
It works on the same principle as Loci. It doesn't have a power of translating you inteligently back and fourth when you cross it. It's just an absence of Gountlet and translation is a feature of reality. In the shadow theres only Spirit ephemera so you must adapt and translate....

Really nice ideas, but both are spells.Changing resonance by leylines might not be terribly effective but on the other hand it can actually work, kind of like 50/50. And can be investigated. Not likely but can.
When messing with Oneiros you must cast spells inside of it, right? I mean that you can't modify it without spell for too long. So you can conjure some magical seal inside but it can still be detected with prime. Or. You can damage it and hope it won;t regenerate too fast. Second option is really cool and could make a great Chapter. Thanks!...

Hmm. Conflict in mage requires assumption that parties are incompetent. Otherwise players can't do much or die from the first hit. It's like the WHW always says, better to turn you mages against the world and not the other mages who is extremely hard and dangerous. I kind of feel like this should be written somewhere in the book.

Thank you! Veiling spells are automatically hidden from PMS....

I've been playing roughly ten years now, and I can handle meta-gaming just fine. As long as the character isn't drugged, crazy or under magical attack that induces false alarms CoW can't ping randomly. It is a direct confrontation roll, not a perception roll.

Player-"I got a success! Did I hit him?"
    ST-"Nope."
    Player-"He beat my roll?"
ST-"Or there was nothing there to hit, you don't know."

Sounds quite weird if it isn't part of the plot or enemies ability....
