Where, outside the South, is snow uncommon during the winter? I always kind of pictured that in the Scavenger Lands, the further West you go, the more Mediterranean the climate becomes, but I think this might be an assumption on my part.

I have... a lot of plans for Nechara. Its right on the “border” of the River Province city-states and the more easterly forest tribes, so I was planning on characterizing it a lot like Hellenistic Massalia. Will this be a safe way to characterize it in the future, or do you guys have plans to expand on it’s official fluff significantly?

What’s the literacy rate like in the different five directions and in the River Province?

I could have sworn I read something in 2e that said the Unconquered Sun had a day (or week or so?) dedicated to him in the Immaculate Calendar but I can't remember where I read that. I asked Reddit about this but I got conflicting answers; one guy said the Incarnae aren't on the Calendar at all and another said each of the Incarnae have a -day of the week- dedicated to them. Am I misremembering or did this change in 3e?

None of that is enough to make up for the difference in population and resources. None of that is even close to enough. You are talking out your ass, but bringing this up with you is almost meaningless, because this entire time you and I have been trying to have two very different conversations. More specifically I've been trying to discuss what's reasonable and whats not given actual text from the sourcebooks and the realities of the real world pre-medieval socioeconomic issues they're inspired by, while you've just been trying to get in as much pointless, hair-splitting virtue signaling as possible,...

My friends, my dudes, my guys, I don't know how to break this to you, but having a better diet than your enemies is not really going to help you when you go to war with someone who has 200 times your population density and an exponentially higher food surplus than you.

Would Ma-Ha Suchi crush the Scavenger Lands, barring PCs drastically shifting the balance of power, if and when he attacks? Probably; I doubt he'd invade unless he was sure he'd win. But that's because he's Ma-Ha Suchi and his mind, might, magic, planning and Lunar allies are enough to make up the difference; he probably...

    My god, dude, just stop.

It is a known fact that existing Hunter Gatherers don't make much of a surplus of calories from the work they perform, which is why everyone in a hunter-gather tribe has to be engaged in the work of aquiring food and can't for example, go on long, military adventures. And further, I'm not saying hunter-gatherers don't make good fighters, I'm saying hunter-gatherer societies don't make for good, sustainable -armies- or manage complicated Dragon-Blooded Pedigrees. Or if they can manage complicated Dragon-Blooded pedigrees, then the lengths Lookshy and the Realm...

...Checking over the Reddit post I heard and some messages I've received in the meantime, the organization I'm thinking of might be called the "Shadow Fang Vanguard" or "Silver Fang Vanguard", either way I misremembered the name.

Good. I hope so, because the premise is absurd, and I say that as someone who loves wilderness survivaly, rangery characters and concepts.

You cannot make a warrior society from a society where everyone has to put in about 1000 kCal of work to acquire -slightly more- than 1000 kCal of food, sorry. You need surplus to have anything that can reasonably called a Legion. Even factoring in Exalted magic, city-states with specialization of labor are just more efficient as power bases for armies. Moreover, hunter-gatherer societies tend to be very egalitarian, and even though Lookshy is more egalitarian than the Realm, the text makes it clear that they maintain their high Dragon-Blooded population through the prestige of great families,...

I've been writing a campaign about fighting against Ma-Ha Suchi's invasion of the Scavenger Lands, and have recently been informed that wolfy boi has the backing of something called the Silver Fang Legion which has, amongst other things, a regiment-sized contingent of Dragon Blooded. "Regiment sized" makes me think "nearly 3000" which, if accurate, would mean they have nearly as many Dragon Blooded as Lookshy, despite the latter's organized Dragon Blooded breeding programs, control of a thriving city-state that benefits from their Terrestrial governing, trade and administration...
