There's an Oath of Adoption in Kithbook Trolls on page 40 in its own box. There's neither boon nor ban, so you would have to make them up. Someone on Shadownessence speculated that the boon would be the ability to always know where the ward is. though they were still working on a Ban. C20 says on page 266 that motleys alter the Oath of Truehearts. In our game, we've always used Oath of Clasped Hands (and a clean, prehensile foot in the case of sluagh.)

  • C20 Technocrats can't serve as Dreamers, and C20 Demons' host bodies do have high Banality. Both of which I'm ignoring because it makes crossover difficult....

  • Yeah, I noticed that with elk and deer. My friend said bear meat is unbelievably greasy....

  • Vension -- and the meat from wild game in general -- is more "gamey" and stronger-tasting than regular farmed meat. I've had (or cooked) venison, elk, gator, ostrich, buffalo, wild boar and wild duck among other things. Note that if you choose to try eating wild turkey, the plucked and cleaned carcass is best submerged in milk and soaked overnight before using. I have yet to try rattlesnake, but I've seen it canned. I made a flourless chocolate cake last week. Delicious.

  • We had quite a few moronic house rules in the last game I was in, too many of which favored DtF. That was one of the less stupid ones. I was waiting for Changeling 20th to come out so I could figure out something less broken. It might be interesting if a literally Earthbound Demon binds itself to a freehold as a Reliquary. Or even worse, the balefire itself. I can see gatherings of Fallen refugees in the Dreaming, since they can use trods in Apocalyptic form and the Dreaming (might) anchor them from Hell's spiritual gravity.

Does anyone know what the "beacon for hunters, Technocrats,...

  • Reckoning is my least favorite, with Demon running a close second. I was expecting something more like Vigil. Instead we get people who delude themselves into thinking they're still human despite their powers. And go insane from having that power. Bad STing and worse roleplaying didn't help matters, with other PCs being targeted for existing. Demon feels like a ripoff of Changeling. I didn't mind the few Reconcilers we ran into, but every other faction tended to be pointlessly aggressive, which is not very much fun.

  • Changeling would be much less interesting without either. I play both kith almost exclusively. Thanks for letting me know about the rules in Devil's Due We didn't get enough in C20, though I expected that, considering how much they had to cover already.

  • Interesting. Demons with Torment 4 or above register as corrupt. This makes Kithain think "Fomorian" ... and then things get ugly....

    Changelings and Demons

How do changelings and demons interact in your games? In ours, Kithain are the remnants of the Holy Host, and Fallen and Kithain sense each other on sight. We had a "thrall immunity" in our last game, as far as changelings are concerned. I might keep that. Kinain would essentially be Nephilim from a Demon's point of view, wouldn't they?

    replied to Kinain Questions
It's in Changeling the Dreaming 2nd edition on page 149, the Treasure Background, first paragraph, last sentence. "Since treasures are
invested with Glamour, they have the effect of enchanting mortals who touch them."

Also, the kinain noble was a mistake, as the NPC in question is a sidhe and not kinain. Enchanted did have a knighted kinain, but King David himself knighted her.

Thankfully, no one's Ailil. So they can't auto detect the widderslainte. They didn't notice the BSD's corruption either.

Our resident pawn is an NWO Blacksuit, who's psionic in Life and Mind. They also have Demented Eidolon. There isn't much to go on about Widderslainte Technocrats, though they needs twice as much Quintessence and gains far too much Paradox. So far, they Awakened after setting their intended target and bodyguards on fire by thinking about it, burnt out the minds of the Psych Ops agents trying ( and botching ) the attempt to Socially Condition them, killed the Operator responsible, and all but killed a dozen people in two days. With limited sensory affects -- and the Marauder around --, no one's...

The Fomorian embodies Lust and Wrath. Very cold and calculating. Indulging in rape isn't as fun as seducing someone. Appearance and weapons aside, still working on it. Thanks for the help. ^^

    Man, Myth and Magic

I found close to the entire original run of Man, Myth and Magic very cheaply. I'm only missing book 3 and book 24. Could someone give me a run down on what's in book 3 and a picture of the cover from the 70's edition? Is Man, Myth and Magic considered "occult-lite"? (Not that I care for STing purposes....) Should I try tracking down the 90's edition too? Has anyone read those? Is there more information in the reissue?

I'm always willing to bend rules for the sake of awesomeness. ^^ We redeemed a BSD by mistake already. The rest of the PCs can choose to kill the Widderslainte pawn when they find out.... if they're willing to also kill the Marauder via psychic shock. They will, however, have to contend with the fae who don't like Dreamers being killed out of hand. Then things will get interesting...

    Looking for a flaw...

I know there's a four point Widderslainte flaw, but I've forgotten which book it's in. Could someone help, please?
