  • Ooo that's a little costly having it be tied to intimacies, the example of something similar to this from the ifrit shaping has it be tied to resource value of the burnt offering but it could be an interesting way to get rid of unwanted intimacies....

  • Hmm I like that, I've been needing a third shaping ritual and one that can provide an instant effect without causing physical damage to the sorcerer would be very good. I just got to think of the fluff description for it and how much sorcerous motes it should give....

  • Hmm this is true, and your right I don't want this to be just a simple thing that the sorcerer can say they did off screen so it needs a time requirement and it's got to be balanced with existing powers.

I've also had the difficulty of making this something mortal sorcerers could use, so I think I'm going to change it to when ever the sorcerer spends one scene reinforcing the bond between themselves and their symbiote they may commit one point of wp to receive ((level of hosts intimacy towards symbiote+level of hosts intimacy towards host)*2)
And limit it to once per day, I'll...

Thankyou that helps, I needed to know so I could update the mechanics in the homebrew I just posted and I think I'll combine this with the penalties description in the book to make it work....

i'm reading through the disguise rules, and it gives examples of what could cause penalties to the roll, but it doesn't give a base dificulty, is this something that is always determined by the st or is there somewhere else in the book that discusses it?

  • Ah I meant to have the cap be ten motes invested in this way, so a 20 sm return if that's not too much, but also I hadn't thought of mortal sorcerous and I need to create an option to make this work for them

    Thankyou

Yes this is why I put the tbd for difficultly because I know it should scale but I'm not sure how to make that work

In the fluff write up for the demon I had him make the artifact sanctuary himself with the aid of a first age solar and his first host, this merit would be in effect be purchasing a first age artifact, but more...

  • Sorcerous initiation: Symbiosis of the Burning Heart

As chance would have it you encountered the enigmatic being known as C’Al-Siphar, The Forger of Paths, who hides from all for his own protection, only occasionally venturing out from his hidden domicile close to the pole of flame when the desire to shine in the sky draws him forth. Perhaps you were guided by apocryphal legends of a Demon of Benevolent Flame who sought to help the world despite his origin. Maybe you chanced upon him in a moment of vulnerability as The Star of The Morning fell from the sky, as he is always fated

  • Second Circle Demon: C'al-Siphar, The Benevolent Flame

In the time before the primordial war C’al-Siphar was The Star Of The Morning, who would shine in the night sky and mark the way for mortal travelers as they prayed to him for guidance. After the war he fell further than just to Creation and was dragged down to Malfease along with his progenitor third circle soul Lieger. There he took on the role of the hearths flame in the forges of The Green Sun and became the Forger of Paths, capable of crafting doors that would fold time and space between two fixed points within the demon...

  • 2nd Circle Demon: C'al-Siphar & Soc initiation: Symbiosis of the Burning Heart(PEACH)

After spending weeks thinking about the potential of this sorcerous working, originally inspired by how amusing i thought it would be if an "anathema" which the immaculate order claims to be possessed by demons, was actually possessed by a demon, I have finished a rough draft of both the second circle demon and the sorcerous initiation surround them. I was only able to do this with the help of the devs constant willingness to answer question in the ask the devs thread, as well as the help of fellow users on the board who helped me fill in the gaps of my knowledge on how exactly demons...

dont know if this is where to make this but since i didn't want to start a thread for such a simple question, how do i create a signature on this board? i keep looking at my profile ut not being able to figure out where the option to make a signature is.

under demon summoning there is the option to have the demon summoned work for you for a year and a day or for a specific task until its completion, is it possible to have as part of the specific task that the demon forget ever being summoned in the first place?

  • Ah see I was thinking of that too, what with the orbs of fire and everything, however I started to think that simply having a yozi that was fire aspects was not as important since the lower souls can be vastly different from them, and if it is a second circle soul it would be more influenced by the third circle soul that they descend from.

Also no, orabilis the end of all wisdom and master of the glass library is the third circle soul of cecylyne the endless desert....

Also the scroll of glorious divinity 2 hints at the fact that the solars might have spared the yozis from a final fate due to the fear that by killing them they would also be killing the principles that shape the world itself and prevent it from drifting into chaos.

What do you imagine would happen if all of the yozis were to perish?

Would this same limitation be placed on the neverborn? Or are they capable of being revived?

And if not revived is it possible to completely unmake the yozis and the neverborn in the wyld, allowing them to return to their pre-primordial selves?...

also do you imagine it being possible to reset the yozis and remake them as primordials, but in a place outside of creation?

are the lower souls of the yozis dependent on the existence of their higher souls for their existence or would say a second circle demon be capable of continuing to exist after either their yozi or 3rd circle progenitor ceases to exist

if the answer to that is no, then would it be possible for a lower soul be able to discover a way to unbind themselves from their masters, especially in a situation where they start to form their own opinions in ways that directly contradict their masters. potential example being through the binding of thier soul to the soul of another being?

  • ah ok, this could provide an interesting plot twist, i'll have to discuss it with my st before i move forward though, but knowing this i am still on the fence between choosing between her and a descended soul of lieger.

However i did read one fannon interpretation that said that cythera has convinced many of her lower souls that they are actually the lower souls of other demons and yozi, and has somehow convicned those demons and yozi of the same, so perhaps a good solution might be that C'al-siphar is a second circle soul of cythera but belives himself to be a second circle soul...

  • Thank you so much for this help, i'm sorry that it has taken me so long to reply but i have been doing some reading following up your suggestions, of both the books and the wiki's regarding primordials. I read through 80 pages of direction book malfease before i got to the part about lieger and i got to say have a benevolent fire demon descended from the incredibly hot sun demon of crafting is definitely an interesting prospect (considering that the character i have in mind that will form the bond with calsiphar sought out this sorcerous initiation as a means of accessing first age artifice),...
