I really can’t wait to see what this looks like honestly, I’m really looking forward to reading what Fire has wrought but I guess until then I’ll just continue with my homebrew and make adjustments when I have more information.

Thanks so much again for your responses....

Hi devs, I was wondering, is there any way to get an idea of what craft will look like for the other splats, I’m only specifically worried about dragon blooded for now as their ability to craft at a specific level is key to the setting.

My main question is about how many dice can I expect a dragon blooded at their best to roll, I searched through the thread to try to find something about the dragon blooded excellencies and found out that the dragon blooded will have non-excellencies that are custom dice adders tailored for every ability, which makes it difficult to predict...

Ran some dice calculations using anydice.com to get a feel for how easy and/or difficult it would be craft artifacts using my system.

for solars rolling each time with a full excellency and managing to stunt each time will have 22 dice to roll they are still only guaranteed getting as much as 2 successes, with the chance of getting successes rapidly decreasing the number of successes you are aiming for, and this is without any penalties. summarizing this the maximum number of successes is 44, the minimum is zero, and the mean is 11, with a standard of deviation of about 3 successes,...

I love the concept of a reincarnated personnretaining their memories, it’s very reminiscent of a book series I read as a kid called the reluctant swordsman where a god takes a chemists soul as he’s dying in one dimension and places it in the body of the most powerful swordsman in the gods own dimension.

As for Supernal, I think integrity supernal would be hilarious, and just hear me out on this, the character is going to encounter some incredible shocks to their system encountering hints that they were not expecting and not prepared for, what better than a solar who is just conpketely...

  • Unknown sOmething I just thought of that I would love for the story teller guide, and I only thought of this due to Weimann ‘s post, I want guidelines on how to develop charms which states what the right balance for each type of exalt is; how to develop new settings with guidelines in what is appropriate for each area in creation, and how to develop entirely new shards for the setting,
When I look at the home brew that we produce as community and I try to think on what could be most useful tonthw st White not being as inherantly nexcesary to the player, these are some things that stand...

just bought arms last night and i'm already finding some wonderful things to help me clarify and adjust some things in my rewrite, including the examples of exotic ingredients that we saw in the opening fiction where the crafter was making the orichalcum infinite chakram. I think this is going to help me clarify the touchstone mechanic a bit better for anyone still having issues understanding it.

hoping to make a lot more progress on this soon, as well as implementing the changes that people have suggested to improve the system, i appreciate the patience and continued interest i've...

  • As someone who has also rewritten the craft system, this sounds interesting, I’m looking forward to reading through it when I have the opportunity, I love the idea of repairable quirks thatnyoubhave included, kind of like making prototypes that need to be fixed later on, could be a reason why dragon blooded have such a difficult time redirecting the glories of the first age.

Honestly what has me most excited about this is the fact that I was planning on making genesys symupported exalted and was dreading adapting the craft system again for genesys but since it uses opposed rolls...

  • the bolded is what makes this complicated, because espeacially for european christianity it is really dificult to sepperate the two, invasion and spreading the religion. Starting with the adoption of christianity by the roman empire it has always been used in europe and by europeans as a means/reason to invade and conquer other groups, so it is very possible that the significance of the two is being confused, its not that the spread of christianity resulted in the more modest clothes, but christianity was either spread by invasion or used as a justification for invasion in the first place, which...

  • The interesting thing about the abrahamic faiths is that it’s very difficult to separate culture from religion in these respects, even white Christianity which is very different from its middle eastern Christian progenitors.

For example in Judaism the clothing practices were a matter of environment and cultural appropriateness based on the environment, which became further adapted as the cultural situations demanded it.

Middle eastern Christianity, which developed out of anchient Judaism was also effected by local cultural norms, which grew and changed over millennia....

My mistake I didn’t think I was avoiding answering it. To put it plainly it is this way because that is what has made sense to me while writing it, this is my second time rewriting craft with the first time being a slight modification of some of the other rewrites to make it better for my group of players, and in all my time working on my second rewrite, of which the ability to maintain slots and points was my focus, as well as all the charms I had a really find time writing and adapting, it seemed to me that this was the most appropriate way to do it.

To put it simply, just as...

To clarify what I mean by nothing stops you from doing this, the reason why I reincorporated slots was the fact that they allow the crafter to make things without consulting with the st as to whether or not they have the time, whereas an st might want to be more conservative with what they will allow a crafter to do without them, a crafter with slots knows how many projects of which types they can do.

That said I am hearing what you are saying and since the point of this rewrite was to acomadate as many people as possible I also want to be acomadating without compromising too much....

Very happy to report that I have my first group of confirmed play testers providing me feedback on this system, darloth from the dischord is running it in their exalted group and already I’m getting great critiques on how to improve the system

  • You are right of course, and Star metal is the absolute most important part of the zero system.

As for it not being indestructible, I always interpreted that as the joints and such being weak spots rather than the gundanium itself being weak but it has been a long time and I probably need to rewatch the serries....

  • See I think that’s where things are misunderstood when I personally ask for a system to have an organization, I don’t want it to be as simple as rolls, I would love to have trade wars, I would love to have bureaucratic intrigue that gets in the way of my expanding my organization, I want to have to develope and defend my trade routes.

Maybe a system isn’t what’s necessary, perhaps we already have the means of doing all this, but I would like maybe a section to help give story tellers a way or advice on how to implement this kind of game play. Realistically the core is already...

  • Hi Sandact6 love your writeup, gundam wing is one of my favorite shows with endless waltz also being a favorite of mine and I’m loving your war strider writeup.

As for the magical material it’s brilliant to use Star metal for the zero system, however given the books description of Star metal as being rare and usually being used as a filigree (please correct me if I’m wrong but I remember reading this somewhere) I initially couldn’t make that fit with the entire war strider being made of Star metal. I see someone else already brought up that it could be made or orichalchum...

Hi Eric and Vance, long time since I posted a question in here and want to again thank you both for all your efforts here.

With the release of arms and the inclusion of actual war striders I have a question that will determine whether I want to have one for my character, and please forgive me if this is already apparent in arms I have not been able to purchase it yet though I intent to do so as soon as possible,

Is it always apparent that a war strider is a war strider or is it possible for it to be disguised as a statue, and if so, is an evocation/ passive ability...

  • Probably something similar to yours, I would like a way to start and build an organization in the game rather than just saying it exists.
