  • I personally would rule each path counts separately before starting to stack up with Conditions, given that sometimes you need to establish other contacts or different things depending on the Path....

I'd use a module as an outline, but replace any encounters with does from the Origin book.

Also this is just general, but don't be afraid to start small with your encounters. Mooks leading to tougher foes...

    Game balance?

A way to call attention to the biggest roles they represented rather than go with "So everyone who's ever won a fight is a Warrior yes I realize this means 80% of the Gods are now a Warrior"?

A method to chart the growth and change of the Legend over time, such as Loki losing the Creator Calling when he consumed Logi and took his wife and now has the Lover Calling?

A way to keep distant from the 1e setup of "So this one God gives you access to literally everything making them the Mechanically Objectively Superior Choice"...

In the World of 2e, the Gods get involved with the World's affairs quite often. Just y'know subtle-like. Rather than Ares appearing and demolishing an army (which can lead to MASS Fatebinding which is capable of fundamentally shattering or reshaping a God's identity, see what happened to the Orisha and the Loa) he may provide a blessing to an army, making them fight better. Sometimes they do walk the World, clad in human forms called Incarnations, helping advance their goals and agendas.

There are a couple of historical figures who are Scions in the World. Iulius Caesar, for one,...

I think Primordials are too big to be represented by just ONE Purview. Kitchi-Manitou... Here let me pull out a passage from the Hero Rough Draft-

Kitchi-Maintou is Dream. It is potential, it is the formation of possibility and reality. Its reach and powers are more than one Purview can encompass.

TITANS may be consumed by one Purview, but I'm pretty sure that Primordials are going to be several Purviews linked by a Theme...

I would say no. There's probably wiggle room for a Titan to represent a Purview that's tangentially related to whatever Primordial they came from. Assuming that the Primordial in question didn't just have them and the Titan grew into a different Purview.

Edit: Also, Primordials can be associated with multiple Purviews. Kitchi-Manitou, of the Manitou, is a Primordial, and has Darkness, Forge, Fortune, Prosperity, Stars, and Sun associated, after all....

And again, why the assumption that in The World, the various Christian sects are less right than the other religions?

Like, there's no reason to doubt it. All myths are true.

    All of them.

I'm pretty sure the Knack list isn't meant to be comprehensive, so if someone wanted to make their own Knack and could explain how this one fit under another Calling to my satisfaction I'd probably allow it...

Here, there's a sidebar in the Hero outline, let me just quote it...

Like, being a Hero should be a BIG thing for a Scion. Even if people KNOW that Indra and Zeus have champions, that won't necessarily make it any less miraculous when you see a giant in the street, and while the cops are getting civilians out of there you see a lone figure step forward and draw a sword that crackles with lightning....

Man I dunno what setting you're thinking of, but that wasn't 1e. The 1e assumption was that the magic stuff was always there, it was just in hiding.

    For some reason.

Like the Gods didn't go to sleep for a thousand years, they remained poking at things throughout history. They just let their religions vanish and people forget they were myths because shut up and stop asking questions. There's not even a handwave like wizards going around with memory charms, or some kind of supernatural Mist that keeps mortals from realizing that the divine exists. It's just accepted that...

Mistaken Assumption, and one that goes entirely against the game itself.

The religions of those gods in the World are emphatically not dead. Like, the worship is still there. There are temples to all those Pantheons, throughout the World.

Maybe not the majority stranglehold, but they're there, and accepted, to the point where if Religion comes up in the office it's not odd to hear someone say "Yeah made an offering to Hades so hopefully the next quarter looks better, am I right?"...

Glamour brings up a good point. Like, a lot of our history in this world today, people assumed that many of these beings WERE alive, just kept to themselves. They didn't doubt that naga and fairies existed. To the Greeks, they knew that the Gods lived on a mountain. Not a metaphor for a heavenly realm, but like, a literal mountain. Over thereabouts. *Waves vaguely at the horizon* They knew that if you got a shovel and started digging, eventually you'd breach into the Underworld and into the realm of Hades. Don't do that, dude does NOT take kindly to people just waltzing into his realm.
