The post you were quoting looks like it is referring to Amkhata....

  • For your specific player: If they bought Auspex 4, presumably reading minds is the thing they wanted to use the power for, so...let them read minds and have fun with the power they bought? If complications need to be thrown up, well, I don't see why Auspex 1 couldn't detect mind-reading as a form of threat (since it can definitely detect Auspex 5).

The curse of any well-functioning Discipline is that what players can do, Storyteller characters can do as well (and vice-versa)....

    Further headcanon:

Almost everything revealed to Marco Singe is false or misinterpreted.

Helios does not know anything about the existence of Vampires. At all. And if he is ever told, he promptly forgets the moment the conversation is over. From the perspective of the Sun, Vampires do not exist.

Dracula and Longinus are both still around. Count Fucking Dracula is absolutely descended from Dracula.

Of all the Supernatural lines in the Chronicles of Darkness, Mages are the ones most others are most familiar with. The most common reaction to them...

I was actually curious myself, so I spent some time running the numbers (having just spent a bit of time earlier to add Advanced Actions to my WoD/CoD/Exalted 2e general dice probability calculator).

My assumption here is that there's three things that matter in a dice trick, in descending order of importance. Some more (first one heavily dependent on how Mummy 2e ends up):

The current structure of the Underworld is the third iteration of "post-mortem realm". The first, Stygia, was put beyond reach by the Fall of Atlantis. This was then retrocausally replaced by Duat - the world needing a place to put the dead and also abhorring a vacuum - and the structure of the Judges, Anpu and so on. Duat, in turn, has been completely destroyed by the Rite of Return. The reason why Mummies cannot enter the Underworld, and why Neter-Khertet is a place for them, is that they are temporal anomalies...

The Principle is the ghost of a supreme being overthrown by Atlantis. The reason it keeps sending out only single Qashmal and never tries anything again if they fail is because it cannot conceive of the notion that it is no longer omnipotent.

The God-Machine is the flesh of the same supreme being, which is why the two share parallels. In principle (heh), it is possible to reunite the two within the Supernal Realms.

Ambrogio Baudolino, founder of the Malleus Maleficarum, is actually Ishoab, ancient Ghoul traitor to the original VII, who took on the role in order to push...
