  • So I have a question about injury conditions complication and defense. Depending on the nature of the injury condition it could impede one's ability to defend or add a complication to their defense.

    Let's say that you start a combat with a leg injury of one complication that could influence your ability to defend or maneuver and Dodge per say. So when you roll defense you would have one complication overcome or lose 1 success.

    What happens when you take injuries in an ongoing combat and your injury condition rises but you don't need to re roll your defense because it...

    This is the text I am planning on using for just the pin Stunt.

    Pin/Restrain/Immobilize (2 successes)
    Hold in place, Deny opponent their Defense against all other attacks.
    Clarification: Deny opponent their Defense pool, as the default Defense of 1 still applies.

    Must be in control of the grapple.

  • How does the Inflict Damage, Critical, and addition Inflict Damage from Scale difference play together? I ask because based on the number of successes available the damage below could swing higher or lower.

    Let's say you have Scale 3 vs Scale 1 (difference 2)

    I would also say on the solution side you could use some of the crunchy bits from Trinity and some of the soft bits from Scion 1e and say to your players let's brain storm a couple ideas and try some stuff.

    Could be a one off or a what if game for some time to see what shakes out.

  • Also if memory serves me right resisting Frenzy is Res + Com so a few frenzy trigger to enrich the vampire experience. Oh wait you don't have extra WP to hold the Beast off, no, say it isn't so....

    Composure is keeping your calm under fire/stress and the little things tend to aggravate those without that balance of calm. He may have the resolve to quietly hold it in, but when he breaks, oh ya....

  • I like to have fun with blood from creatures other than human. I would make the mage blood taste very vibrant and full of energy or make it depended upon which type of magic they have as a major, You could add some of that flavor into the blood to give each a unique taste and then maybe they could gain an addiction to mage blood. Or the reverse a paranoia about feeding on strange......

    I find for my game that the really important non-combat rolls are opposed or rolls vs NPC static value. I do not find the important rolls as 1 Difficulty rolls. Not says that's 100% of the time, just my mileage so far.

    Larceny/Stealth vs Perception
    Survival/Tracking vs Survival/Evading
    Pilot vs Pilot
    * Followed by a round of Integrity/Res or Com for "Chicken"
    Larceny/Fast Talking vs Empathy/Detect Lies
