On second thought, while needing to declare a target Pantheon is a valid reading of the Knack's text, it's not a particularly good or useful one. The other two limitations provide more than enough flexibility to make being on each side of Scent of the Divine fun.

    I'll edit that post....

I can't let on more than I did the last you asked, but I'll definitely be talking about that once we get closer to God's Kickstarter....

Yeah, that's some odd wording. I suspect that wording reflects an earlier version of Momentum and an earlier version of Virtue that both no longer exist.

I think the easiest tweak to Yoga's wording to bring it in line with the rest of the rules would be that instead of "without having to draw on..." if it said "as if they had augmented their roll with ..."

That way, you spend your innate for the scene, then your ally gets gets to add an additional die per point of Virtue per Momentum they're adding. Then, if they're not already at +2 (and thus already...

2 important caveats with Scent the Divine:
    1. Scent the Divine specifically says that it "detects" when such a being is nearby. "Detect" is not a keyword, so there's some wiggle room on what exactly that means.
    2. Anytime two supernatural abilities interfere with each other, it triggers a Clash of Wills (Origin, p. 105)
So, no. Stealth isn't automatically defeated, but if the Scion with Scent the Divine active wins the Clash of Wills, they have at least a rough idea of where the divine being is.

As a personal rule of thumb, I'd say they know what range band the divine...

I can't directly answer that. While I've taken over steering the line, Neall's still in charge of Demigod. Once the dust settles on Demigod, I'll clarify any further questions folks have. I know this isn't immediately helpful for you or the other folks who've expressed confusion about Dominion, but the best that I can do without creating further confusion.

In the meantime! If anything about Dominion Boons and their stunts is confusing or seems off, please use the errata form to help get it addressed: errata link...

Pantheon-specific limitations on manifesting in The World or other realms is not something that's terribly feasible from a mechanical standpoint. Like, it's an interesting idea that would help better ground the various Gods in their cultural stories, but that'll create inherent inequality among the Pantheons. It would also require that reaching a consensus on what the myths have to say about how a Pantheon manifests among mortals, which would be a tall order, given just how many myths and versions of those myths exist.

So, to answer your question, all of the Gods are on the same footing...

I would also like to see the Palas, as well as Indigenous cultures represented in Scion. Stay tuned....

Oh, wow. It's been a minute since I've checked this thread.

That was before I took over, but yeah, your fellow posters have the gist of it. There's not really a good way to do an American Pantheon (or any other nationalist Pantheon, for that matter). Tying Gods and nationalism together is a particularly thorny bush, so we're just going to not. Folks are still free to update the 1e material and/or make their own version for the Storypath Nexus, though....
