    replied to Future generations?
I like the idea of generation not being exactly fixed in power level over the ages. So a current days 13th gen would be equivalent to an 11th gen a thousand years ago. This opens up generation as not actually being the number that is usually known, but a far greater one.

On a similar thought, I had the idea that as the number of vampires of a certain generation decreases, the power of those that remain and those of a generation below increases. So, if all the Antediluvians were to meet Final Death, the 4th generation would ascend to their power level. Likewise, going by the Cainite...

  • In the sense that their write-up was bad and playtesters disliked it. I lack any primary sources and much information is under NDA so can't really give much certainty....

  • Undefined as in the events aren't explained in detail and you can fill in the blanks yourself.

Yes, it purposefully avoids details, it cares more about being a setting for stories over, to quote Achilli, what happened in a now-untouchable past.

As for the Family Reunion, it's explained in Cults. And set up since V20.

As for people not being excited, I think that's just the "V5 kicked my dog and ran over my grandma" crowd that is strong in certain spaces....

  • The setting isn't lore agnostic, and that is just an exaggeration over a couple tweets.

But the more undefined metaplot has been a really positive thing, it's much easier to adapt the setting (especially things like the Family Reunion), and there is less "ackchyually that goes against the lore".

  • The Cult of Isis presented in LtSRR has a big mage presence, don't know why they changed them so much for CotBG

  • I'm not exceedingly familiar with V20, but quickly comparing it with the Path of Lilith, it doesn't seem exceedingly different, it is very much more in-depth though and with a different focus (considering its now a cult and not a path).

    This is, unsurprisingly, wrong.

Masochism is still a thing, you even got a merit for Ritual Scarification, and there is an entire section saying they aren't good vampires, and are generally just perpetrators of abuse....

  • "The Cult of Isis is comprised of blood sorcerers and mortal will-workers dedicated to a version of Lilith they equate with magic, transformation, and transcendence." Let the Streets Run Red, page 101.

The most interesting part of it, is that they have some conflict with another Lilith associated cult, the Cultivars....
