  • The Newer Houses were added before anviersary asside from Danaan.

Varich are like AIlil.. but worse because they can study what you are going to do, nearly every one of them should have levels of soothsay. Varich are all about playing the Xanatos Gambit.

Aesin are vikings they will act like Vikings

    Dalrean will fucking poison you....

I don't read Gaki as a bloodline in the original book. They have a wide variety of different strengths and weaknesses even their embrace was different and they had rituals which allowed you to swap sires.....

  • Maybe. Changeling society is explicitly NOT egalitarian. It depends on Rank of the individuals. And who they are connected to.

Remember Noble society is explicitly feudal. The actions of Knights reflect upon their Lords and so on and so forth. Some random Gwydion Knight Errant might be a rogue canon, but on the other hand other membrs of their house might still feel they owe things...

  • I hate to use this example, but look at Phantom Menace from Star Wars. That's pretty much the situation power blocks in the Parlement can push all sorts of questionable actions and the Gwydion are a power block.

So Iron Paladin kills Perma Kills Ailil childling Gwydions say they handle it n house and send in some knights to be all murder murder.

Ailil go raise up a mob of various other factions with "it could be you next!" Gwydion gets hammered.

But this is PROBABLY a local thing vs something that gets pushed to the Parlement of Dreams. Its...

  • This is not true whatsoever. If you are saying 1 percent of the biggest market D&D has ever had.. then still no. It would be nice if Vampire had the level of engagement it had in the 90s Which is true. It does need to expand for that to be the case.

D&D4 also attempted to expand the brand. Its brings in all sorts of new ideas. And its sure as hell easier to Run than any version of 3e. But it clearly went through with the intent to "FIX" D&D. ANd people reacted accordingly.

V5 Is very much an attempt to "Fix" Vampire and much of those "fixes"...

  • My thoughts: Obten will be blood magic. There's already path of shadows in Revised between that an abyssal mysticism... It may HOWEVER be NEcromancy if they keep that split.

Vis I think will be protean based. Maybe Protean/Blood Magic

    Chimestry-auspex and something.

Necromancy-either a new discpline or `they combine blood magics into one discipline.

Temporis-Celerity+ auspex Trujah will be Celerity, Auspex, Potence.

Valerens and Bardo will be combined perhaps as "vampire white magic" or something like that....

  • Counter point to all the "just rule zero it", I can also make up my whole vampire game I want to play using Fate/chuubos/Gurps/D&D/whatever why shouldn't I do that instead? If I don't like the setting or the rules why shouldn't I just make what I want and say "To hell with V5 it doesn't do anything I want?" Why should someone pay for something that doesn't offer anythign they want?

WW is in the business of selling something. There are a profoundly large number of people who are disastified customers. IT doesn't matter if I can put back in the elders I like,...

  • Its not the same game. Now maybe it does meet all the conditions that the game should have had in 1990. But that's not what we've had for 30 Years or so. That's really it in a nutshell it doesn't matter that it might better suit its intent, people liked the warts, the sacred cows the wierdness. I will argue to the ends of the Earth that DND4 is a superior product to any itteration of 3, that its focused, tight, well balanced. And much of the "fixes" for all of DND that 4e tried made people feel it "wasn't D&D anymore"

Same thing is happening with V5. It may...

  • Two wrongs don't make a right.

The Ailil could get Gwydion secrets out of the traitors. That's why I think the Gwydion would send out a killsquad.

I imagine they would want something as simple as Dross, Cash, possibly even land claims as simple payment while the Ailil would want something more like a "Favor"...

  • Sending in Guys to kill someone is pretty damn dramatic. I am not assuming they will A: Succeed. B: There would be fall out either or. They march in and kill the "Traitors to the House' and.. quite probably hurt the Unseelie holding them. Drama right there. Or.. the PCs successfully hold off the Gwydion Killsquad and there's more drama because failure and other Seelie houses are "...what the fuck man?" they'd already be there with the "might makes right" possition but at the end of things might does make Right, but if you try that and fail you are in an even worse position,...

  • The Ailil probably wouldn't make a show trial out of it. A show execution? Absolutely. I mean they are in the right here. Gwydion would just sweep it under the mat. They won't call Unseelie witnesses or have a show of justice they will just "Solve it" and anyone who questions their methods are "questioning their honor RAAAAWR"

So they will send in troops, execute the traitors and look bad about it the whole time.
