The Sorcerer Caste are perhaps the closest thing the banu haqim have to the Tremere. Even then I see the tremere as far superior, especially if you take rituals into account....

What is this Spirit Manipulation V20 nerf people are talking about?
I have heard a couple of times on this forum that Spirit Manipulation was nerfed in V20. I was going through the wiki and found something that was called Spirit Thaumathury, and later looked up the power in a book called The Succubus Club. Was this the pre-nerf Spirit Manipulation? Because if so, it doesent really feel like too much of a nerf seeing as how the only difference is that we lost the lvl 1 ability to temporarily curse an individual with bad luck. The lvl 5 powers are also both different, but coincidently both are also usless.
Is Spirit Thaumathurgy the pre-nerf Spirit...

I got Banu Haqim, which makes no sense since I was trying to go for Tremere. I constantly picked things that a Tremere would choose like witchcraft and minions, yet I still got Banu Haqim. This is actually my second time doing this test and my second time getting Banu Haqim, I cant remember if I chose different answers from the first time.
The test probably weighs some choices more than others, which means its not that accurate, so take the results with a pinch of salt....

Since Myca Vycos diablerised his sire, another tzimisce, I was thinking that their curse would be more severe. Like instead of just sleeping in the soil of their homeland, now they must consume it....

Myca Vycos would probably have to not only sleep in dirt, but consume it as well....

In the blood treachery where the hermetics attack a tremere chantry the strike force clears the tremere pretty easily.
In a couple tribe books whenever they go against a vamp they take minimum casualties compare to the vamps, the silver fangs do take a couple fatalities in the shadow lord tribe book, but it's latter on revealed to have been put into motion by a shadowlord, so in other words the vamps were the suckers. In another tribe book I cant remember a pack of werewolves alboslutely demolish their vampire opponents with no casualties and only a couple heavy injuries. The pack...

How come Vampires always used as a punching bag within the WOD?!
It feels like vampires have become something of a running joke within the WOD game lines, whenever I read a post that talks about vampires going against the other splats, almost everyone in the comment section simultaneously goes "The vampire dies because 'Insert splat' is too strong". I have even read books which open with the main splat absolutely demolishing the vampire in question, no matter who it is. Yet I have never seen something like that happen in a vampire book. And when people do bring up the one thing vampires are supposed to have a lot of, which is their immense political...Last edited by Hello; 06-17-2022, 12:09 AM.

Maybe they were forced to come to the city. Perhaps someone found the feral Gangrel roaming the woods or swampland and dragged them back to the city in fear of a potential masquerade breach, but didn't feel it was right to kill them. Maybe the city needs more vampires to deal with the camarilla/anarchs so they are forcefully conscripting, or someone wants to learn protean and they are forcing the Gangrel to teach it to them. Perhaps the prince/baron believe their sect needs more Gangrel and wants the feral to sire more and teach them how to use their in clan discipline, that's of course after...

Isn't Spirit Manipulation technically the most versatile power in VTM?
Since many spirits seem to represent abstract ideas, you could theoretically demand a spirit of depression to make your enemies, well, depressed. Which is very similar to how Way of Sorrow works, which as you all know is apart of Koldunic Sorcery, a type of Blood Magic that calls upon spirits to assist the practitioner in their sorcery. So wouldn't it stand to reason that if I was negotiating with a particularly troublesome elder, I could just call upon spirits of love or calmness to make the negotiations go easier? But lets say you need to find these spirits first and then bind them into your...

I really wish the game allowed you to do that. But sadly that's not possible, you're stuck taking order from one who is lesser than you....

Honestly, I found playing a physical character is a lot less fun than being a playing social one. But thats only me. The most you get out of replayability is trying out all the disciplines in the game, but other than that, yeah theres nothing much else to do.
On that note, are the DLC's any good?...Last edited by Hello; 06-13-2022, 01:13 AM.

What are your thoughts on VTM Night Road?
You all probably know what it is, if you don't, a quick google search will suffice.
I enjoyed the game, and the price was pretty great. I did have a couple issues with it however. Mostly with how weak the Camarilla ending felt. If your character reached this ending, it means that they are perhaps the biggest reason Tucson is still standing, which would lead one to believe that you would gain some kind of important position within the Camarilla, *Cough* Prince *Cough*, after the former prince, Lettow, is beckoned away. But noooooooo, you're still stuck as a Courier, but with the right...

Why didn't the writers do more with the Independent Alliance?
You all are VTM veterans so I wont go into what the Independent Alliance is here. If you don't know about it, a quick google search will suffice. It will take you less than a minute to read it's wiki page, more than enough to understand the gist of what the Independent Alliance is.
I feel the Independent Alliance was a great new addition to VTM, and overall the WOD as a whole. So you will understand why I think it doesn't make sense to make it an only MET (Mind's Eye Theater) thing. The Independent Alliance had the potential to really shake up the status quo. Making it a rival to...Last edited by Hello; 06-12-2022, 12:43 PM.

Surely the gangrel would be interested in embracing someone who has some magical talent? Or at least someone who has an educational background in ecology, or something similar. They cant all be lone wolf survivalists....Last edited by Hello; 06-09-2022, 04:06 PM.

Forgot about that, probably cause its not really brought up that often and feels like a mixture of powers from different blood sorcery paths. Do the nosferatu, or other clans have a bloodline that specializes in blood magic?...Last edited by Hello; 06-09-2022, 03:19 PM.

Why does Setite Sorcery include multiple, separate branches of blood magic?
I you look up the Setite Sorcery wiki page, you will see it has 4 separate branches of Blood Magic that are practiced by different bloodlines of the clan, as well as the main clan.
Main clan - Akhu
Tlacique - Nuhallotl
Daitya - Sadhana
Serpents of Light - Wanga
Why do the Setites have access to so many different types of blood magic? Now I know that Sadhana and Wanga aren't completely exclusive to the Followers of set. Sadhana is practiced by vampires from different clans in India, usually Ravnos and Venture. Wanga is practiced by...
