  • I'm not a huge fan of DtF, but the idea of Wraith characters discovering the [mostly intact?] ruins of an angelic [or demonic?] fortress sounds really fucking cool. Run with the awesome, mythoi be damned!
Also, I'd solicit the resident DtF aficionado, Crowley , for DtF to WtO advice.

  • During the Dark Ages, the Gargoyles successfully revolted against the Tremere. Weakened by the war with the Eastern Fiends and now without their most powerful soldiers, the Usurpers continued to lose ground until the Gargoyles sacked all Tremere holding, culminating in the Final Death and diablerie of the Council of Seven and, eventually, Tremere himself. By the year 1335, the Gargoyles have established themselves as a proper Clan. In the modern era, members of Clan Gargoyle frequently act as trusted arbitrators between the devlish Sabbat and the insular Camarilla.

  • In my head canon (which has never come up in games) the Eldest "encouraged" the formation of the Old Clan as a control group. I think it's fitting that an Antediluvian manipulated the creation of a bloodline just to - essentially - test for the placebo effect.

As far as the system goes, I don’t know if this is awesome, horrible, or just dumb. I’ve only seen one person’s perspective on two different playtests. However, I think I get the logic.

Whether it’s the Assamite-inspired ass-kicking of Blade, the cheap Mary Sue narrative of Twilight, or the monsterfest nightmare of Thirty Days of Night, a vampire’s thirst is usually a key point. Personally,

    More Random Thoughts about V5:

    Three Attributes:
I’m not sold on it, but I’m not dismissing it either. It’s more of a “meh” category for me.

Target Numbers and Difficulty: Totally fine with this. It sounds similar(ish) to how I do things anyway.

YAWYE and Hunger: I think these sound like fascinating mechanics…for a video game. For TT, it sounds a bit messy. However, it also seems to throw whatever LARP-centric concerns TT players have – I imagine keeping track of these in a LARP game would be a huge pain in the ass. On the other hand, Blood Pool’s an

  • Random thought about V5:
It kinda sounds like Paradox wants to do Secret World but with a Lost Boys faction.
