Oddly enough given the early comments from the devs of the game, I'm having exactly the reverse reaction. When it was first announced they said they were starting from scratch, they didn't even have a script at that point and that it would be 2020 before the game was ready.

Given that I can see only a few paths at the moment:

They're going to slam together a demo that has absolutely nothing to do with the game they're actually building, likely as part of an effort to keep the hype up. I dislike this because I know it takes *significant* time away developing the actual...

They're getting the health care thing passed. They're still driving a LOT of changes through the process right now. If anything, I'd argue that the highly distracting actions of the president make for a fantastic thing for the houses, there's not enough attention paid to what they're doing, *because* it's all focused on the president and his antics....

Hasn't representatives of the house already stated they're not interested in getting a special prosecutor to investigate the Trump-Russia matters? And given the recent comments by important government departments that the whole "Trump sharing secrets with Russia - Fake News" thing is a distraction from the more serious crime of people leaking such information, makes me inclined to think the odds of anything happening to Trump anytime soon is negligible....

  • If I wanted to introduce guns I'd probably start with muzzle-loader pistols and rifles as light and medium thrown weapon stats with the Slow tag to start, and give them the same sort of strength mod tag that flame pieces get (don't count strength, instead a flat +4) Coming up with this would probably be a legendary level effort of Int + Craft(Alchemy) and a more modest success on Int + Craft(Metal Working). This operates under the assumption that the propellant is expensive and rare or otherwise difficult to obtain much like firedust, probably with a level of crafting required.

add a second column? You have one for tracking initiative, add a second one for "act on tick" This second column would also act as a handy flag to indicate if a character has gone or not.

This is actually a good place to touch on intent and understanding.

If you ask the artist that created the charging bull statue, it was originally meant to be a symbol of the strength of the american people as a form of unauthorized gorilla art (only after it was forcefully removed did they reconsider and allow the statue to be displayed). Meanwhile the fearless girl statue on the other hand, installed just before international womens day is very specifically an advertisement for an index fund. And it's the very re-contexting that apparently has the artist of the charging pull considering...

Generally exalted tends to avoid "you rolled suboptimally, undo the last several sessions of work" effects, which is pretty much what the over-invoking fire chain of events you describe sounds like.

We already have an example of creating an artifact via a socerous working, if someone wanted to replace craft with a similar system, I'd suggest basing it off of that.

  • My first answer is "Jade".

take a look at Kirighast, a full legion stationed there, under a near-siege mentality, with a population that they can't simply eliminate but is a *large* active threat to the force... why? Bent Creek Jade Mine... plus the slaves market, but mostly the jade.

You could apply pretty much any other insanely valuable and "Belongs to the Crown" resource. The discovery of a first age or shogunate city, largely preserved and unlooted. A rare plant that can't survive transplanting that slows the aging process. A rare demanse...

purely anecdotal comment, but I remember back in high school in Canada about 25 years ago we had to read "To Kill a Mockingbird". I (and the rest of the class) largely missed large chunks of the white/black core racial elements in the book and had to have them pointed out to us by the teacher.

This isn't to say Canada doesn't have racism or intolerance (it has a lot especially in some areas), just that without a depth of exposure to the whole way it works in the US, it's actually somewhat difficult to understand....
