You have a young man being drawn more and more into a mystery house filled with spirits and other mages and shaman. it's much more out there and obvious than I imagine any Mage game would be. The second arc does deal with a need to banish a spirit and whether the possession is to blame for acts or if the spirit only found a suitable host and he was always going to have issues. The main character is mentored by the others in the house but not always in a straight forward fashion.
