    Yes (subject to the limit that they can't go above whatever their result before rerolling was).


    They can still use it (subject to the limit etc. etc.)


    Any 10s that show up on the reroll would trigger it (subject to the limit etc. etc.)


    You'd lose the opportunity.

    The main consideration is going to be the other player characters in the game you're in. If everyone else is a Dragon-Blood, you're gonna want to build your Exigent towards that end of the power scale; if it's a mixed circle of Solars and Lunars, you're gonna want to make a stronger Exigent. Beyond that, your hand is free to do what you want; there aren't any artificial trade-offs....

    Sorcery isn't inherently unreliable or dangerous, not any more so than any other magic in the setting. What I think of as the quintessential element of sorcery is its strangeness - becoming a sorcerer makes you a stranger, weirder person in some way, and wielding the power that sorcery gives you to solve problems is much stranger and less straightforward than other methods....

    Yes.


    I don't think it should be a working; charging extra XP is too steep. We'll likely discuss the topic in greater depth later, but as a guideline, it should be at least as interesting as seeking out a mentor or sorcerous tome to learn an existing spell from....
