Not to continue derailing this thread, but perhaps I should clarify: I figure Voldemort's Horcruxes are basically a weaker version of the One Ring, in that they both serve as repositories for a portion of their creator's essence/lifeforce/soul/spirit/ Kaibit/whatever. So whatever can destroy a piece of a Maiar's soul should have no problem with a tiny sliver (he made, what, 8 of them?) of the soul of a mortal sorcerer with delusions of grandeur.

Also, even if being thrown into a volcano isn't enough to destroy a Relic; unless the owner of said Relic has Fire Immunity, or...

If the fires of Mt. Doom can destroy Sauron's One Ring, then they should be able to destroy one of Voldemort's Horcruxes....

So, I GUESS this will be ok? I don't like:

When someone uses "Snowflake" to describe someone as sensitive. It implies that the other person is somehow lesser for having feelings.

When someone uses the phrase "Micro-Aggressions". This just comes across as.... silly, I guess?

When someone tries to change the meaning of a word to fit their own purpose or belief. Red is not blue, blue is not red.

When politicians use arguments over social matters as a smokescreen to distract from more important issues.

    ...

I don't mean to attack the group, but things that are rarely seen or heard outside of particular groups. Like hating when someone leaves a lit cigarette butt somewhere; something rarely seen outside the "smoker" group....

About 3 hours ago, my landlord/roommate confronted me, claiming I was behind on my rent. I know for a fact I'm $150 AHEAD on next month. Somehow, he misplaced $200 I gave him 2 weeks ago.

BTW, is this thread OK for venting Politically Incorrect opinions? I feel like there should be a thread for that. Not Hating a person or persons; but things that certain persons or groups of people do or say that irritate/annoy/enrage me.

True, but then Black Bolt's power ISN'T sound, it's some kind of energy discharge. It can work in the vacuum of space, and in his fight with Vulcan, (Gabriel Summers, not the god) the two of them tore a parsecs wide hole in the fabric of reality....

Not a new boon, but a combo I came up with: Divine Threnody + Create Air = sound that can kill.

    A couple more:

    1. Your Motley finds the parcel of Wyrd-Tainted coke, and brings it back to the Mortal realm. Somehow, the Ascending Ones know you have it, and while they may not know what it does, THEY WANT IT!
    2. This one's sort of silly, but why not? Somehow, the cocaine has interacted with the hedge's geology, and know there's a new landmark in the local hedge: COCAINO!

  • Mind if I share a LEAST favorite? "Ghoul". In Arabic folklore, ghouls are a type of monster that eats human corpses, and is only active during the day; they have NOTHING to do with vampires. "Thrall" would be far more appropriate. Also, not crazy about Requiem's use of "Draugr"; from what I've read elsewhere, draugr have more in common with mummies.

In an effort to see my questions answered directly, I shall now invoke one of the sacred techniques handed down from comicbook Editor's Pages; (remember when those were a thing?) NUMBERED QUESTIONS!

    1. Will the Arthurian Mythos be part of any future supplement? Welsh, maybe?
    2. Will it be possible to play a Chosen that's a champion of a whole Pantheon? (Think Shazam.)
    3. What Pantheon does Anansi belong to?
    4. I've been watching a LOT of Sleepy Hollow lately; what kind of creature would the Headless Horseman be?

I wouldn't mind, and I have an idea:

In the book Valiant; A Modern Faerie Tale, there's a drug cooked up by a troll that provides Glamour to faeries in much the same way edible Tass provides Mana to Mages. The drug is beneficial to Fairfolk, but is both dangerous and highly addictive to Mortals. On the upside, (to the kids that were taking it) the powdery substance they called Never (as in, Never more than a little, Never more than once a day, Never two days in a row) not only provides a high like no other, it also grants them faerie powers, including seeing the faeries around them...

I've given it a LOT of thought, and come to the conclusion that America doesn't have an OFFICIAL pantheon, and never really can. The First Amendment kinda precludes that. BUT, it DOES have it's own cultural Heroes, and a few (mostly younger) deities that act as it's representatives in the Overworld, and as it's protectors. Columbia is America's diplomatic/civil power; Uncle Sam represents the military/industrial complex, etc.
