  • It does not actually mention shooting someone in the text of the mega-dexterity and the mega-edge Accurac that does add enhancement to shooting things. Mega-dex does not apply to shooting, only accuracy dots do....

    Navigation: I would say, you do not have to because you would need to calculate distance, even when jumping to familiar places around the earth, as the location shifts too and WarP description lack the wobbliness to allow this. Warp trucks you out in the place you want to go, unless it does not thanks to Complications.

    For every range band after the first one during Interstellar warp, you pick a complication. Warp does not roll and dealing with you hit different system arrived at the wrong time during every jump gets boring fast, so there should be a way to negate those complications, but you do not roll for Warp, how do you create complications, which are repeatable, not game crippling and IT does happen EVERYjump. That is once more at a sane interstellar distance....

    Funny interaction I seem to have stumbled upon, which solves my Warp speed issue. I just do not think it is intended behavior.

    It is significantly quicker to use interstellar warp jumps of first range instead of making long jumps. Warp destination is rough, what you see in the sky, so you can small jump and with Reduced cost tag it is rather feasible option. You get no complication and quick travel time. You can traverse distance of 1000 ly in 4 hours, instead of stated day(1st travels 25 ly in 5minutes. so you would need 40 jumps to traverse 1000 ly. There is nor roll and reduced...

    I agree with this. It makes sense to limit the number of techniques, without limiting it significantly and seems to feed into the theme you want high quantum nova on chargen, that seems to be going on.

    One limitation we seem to have not picked. If you use reflexive and normal(?) action coming from the same suite. You are always performing complex action....

    Now my take on power suite

    Space master.
    Elemental mastery Bending space
    3dots of environmental anima as a base effect with complication chosen as default: non-terrestrial(0), Variable(1), Range(1) Technique(2) 36+12+12 +24= 84

    I do have four tags to work within my two techniques
    Squish: Quantum attack 3dots gives : Brutal(1), aggravated(2) and I buy ranged(1) for 12 ...

    It is rather wobbly to me, for the restricted tag of-2 to apply target would not have blood half Time. You always need grab unless IT is spilled blood As bllod always moves.

    You can forgo Q attack and go for strike tag here.
    It is all also kinda expensive,even with free tags, but that is to be expected here....

    But that is my primary problem of the time scale, ouside of psion comparison. It was my was my first problem, even before the psion issue. You cannot do this properly. Travel simply takes too long and Nova powers and figts are too high end ยด.In sane distances(thousand to 20 thousand, that fits aeon distances and I do consider what distances should be) travel time is measured between day and months. Nova fights are quick devastating and impactful. Fights where you can throw nuke level powers at chargen(maxing out should allow this). These are not fight that should last days. Those are wars that...

    Yes and thus there needs to be viable parity between splats. Psions can counter novas without requiring to get Nova. This is not true here. Nova will always fail miserably in the space exploration schtick in comparison without a way to mitigate....

    Several significant problems

    Because 2nd edition is not just part of the trinity timeline. It is its own thing its own superhero setting. Space exploration interaction and so on is impossible with these timetables while adding the conditions.Aliens are the traditional game-changer and so on. Here, You can NEVER react in time towards anything happening at a realistic space distance. Moments of heroism, coming in nick of time are impossible. Avengers endgame is impossible here. the time table kills it as a theme.

    One thing, that strikes me as interesting Nova powers in comparison to psions are generally cheaper to use. They are incredibly more costly to acquire, but you do have more quantum points and quantum is easy to gain more of. Reduce cost is costly in experience, but can reduce the cost of power to zero with several buys and together with power suite makes an easy job of making variable effects at zero quantum cost even ones of incredible power. Add to it mega attributes and you have endurance fighters of high level....

    Which is what I mean. You need quantum at last 2 for 2 pointers and 3 for three-pointers and so on. Also, a lot of the one pointers you want to stack high. Range, duration, piercing.... Even when provided for free the quantum is still the limit, so You want alway want high quantum on chargen, unless building low quantum nova....

    Too many things are limited by Quantum, if my read is correct you need at least 2 for many of the tags to work. Maxing out also enforces going for high quantum, together with tag stacking rules. Low quantum is the weaker option unless you go for low quantum nova...

    I read it this way too and it is as broken as it sounds, with basically only limitations being the cost of reduced cost, which is significant, but it allows power-based nova to stand with mega-attribute based ones without picking up loads of flux in the process....
