Well, Luna can take practically any form, so that's not really a problem, is it? Of course, of the Dragons' paternity, I've always been partial to the Ebon Dragon (taking after Dad in form, but not in personality), or a different "father" for each (Qaf for Pasiap, Kimbery for Danaa'd, Szoreny for Sextes, Adorjan for Mela, and Cecelyne for Heshesiah).

Is Prasad more, as, or less matriarchal than the Realm proper?...

Does Varangia include those huge lakes between Kirighast and Jiara?

I've been thinking about a small patch of Eastern Creation that served as an experimental plant breeding facility in the Shogunate. It was isolated and top-secret enough that it managed to avoid the Great Contagion before the Wyld invasion. Staffed by a few dozen mortal servants and laborers, maybe six or seven Wood-Aspect Dragon-Blooded, some Wood Elementals, and a pair of Raptok Dragon Kings (the daimyo in whose domain this facility was located was slightly more friendly to Dragon Kings than the Shogunate at large), the combined the sorcery, Charms, and Paths of its inhabitants, as well some...

How widespread and powerful is the Immaculate Order outside of the Realm and Lookshy?

So I'm rereading some 2E stuff to supplement the DB Kickstarter, and I have three questions about how some stuff pertains (or does not) to 3E:

    1) This may just be my reading, but 2E DB and Blessed Isle heavily implies that the Empress sacrificed Tepet to the Terrible Powers controlling the Realm Defense Grid. Is this still the case in 3E?

    2) Has Gethamane's backstory changed? The description in the 3E core seems to indicate this, especially the part about no gods, but I'll probably have to wait for another book to see, right?

    3) I noticed a pattern with appearances...

So, all of the above, plus rapes, post-Contagion bureaucratic snafus mistakes misclassifying thin-blooded lineages, kidnappings, foundlings, and other scenarios?

Does this apply more to long-term, "official" infidelities? I mean, a quick visit to a brothel when you're due for your maiden tea might result in pregnancy, but who would ever know?

Do outcastes outside the Realm have any idea about "progenitive Essence" and such, and thus mate as and where they will? Are the more organized groups as strict as the Realm? From the write-ups,...

What is the Realm view of where "lost eggs" actually come from? The result of youthful indiscretions? The obvious moral inferiority of un-Exalted Dynasts and patricians dallying with lower castes? The inevitable result of males' 'natural' inability to keep it in their pants? Those uncouth outcastes unsuitable for Dynastic adoption/intermarriage? Just how common is the "pillow" method, as opposed to "I know nothing of this Juche courtesan who is pregnant"? It just seems to me that there is so much Dynastic pressure to keep progenitive Essence in-marriage, but there...

I'm still confused about progenitive Essence. Dragon-Blooded Exaltation is hereditary and nothing (except maybe successful Feng Yi pilgrimage) can influence who does and does not Exalt. But you don't Exalt unless your parents progenitive Essence is at its peak? The blood of the Dragon can skip many generations, but mortals do not have progenitive Essence? Leftover children are disdained, but the wording of the preview makes it sound like they CAN Exalt, occasionally, despite their parents profligacy? One of a multiple birth gets the full force of the parents' progenitive Essence, but it's not...

Have any of the Empress's children ever Exalted as anything other than DBs? (Including Exigents, auxiliary, and Liminal.)

Do the Elemental Dragons ever visit Yu-Shan? Do they or have they taken a turn at the Games of Divinity?

One thing I was confused about in the first KS preview: So House Nellens isn't actually descended from Nellens? She just named it after him, long after his death, and assigned a bunch of lost eggs to it, and that's why Sesus is so pissed?

How formalized was the role of Empress's "consort"? Was it just "It has become Known at court that she's taken such-and-such to her bed." or were there, like, ceremonies and stuff? Or maybe a sliding scale? Especially for those who gave her children, was there, like, an announcement of who the father was every time she gave birth? Was there only ever one at a time, or multiple consorts at once? What was their typical fate? Guillotine when she got bored with them, or retirement of some kind, a "divorce"? When was the last before her disappearance?

    Was...
