  • Actually disagree. I think the Leadership system is actually an interesting way to make that work, and I like the emphasis that if there's no reason to have projects fail they should just succeed.
That being said because Bureaucracy has no tie-in to the system, there's basically nothing to do with Bureaucracy 5....

  • Agreed, and I actually would love it if the ST Guide didn't just offer a replacement for that. But the bureaucracy system just needs to offer the players (or the ST) a bit more guidance.
And the mercantile system is rather lacking, for that I would prefer more support.

  • Now, with the massive caveat that this information comes from the previous Ex3 dev team, I believe there was the idea of a massive list of bare-bones charm effects that you could slot a dice pool into and give it to your QC with some fun flavor. Again, this dev team hasn't said they will continue that idea....

  • I feel like Exigents is the book that's going to be this, not Crucible. I wouldn't be opposed to it, but I think that would be a better fit anyway....

  • I actually find Occult to be one that I can make sense of, but to be fair I've played for a while.Thinking of rituals and magic shenanigans falls under Occult, as do Workings (obviously) but also most knowledge about various magical entities can often be rolled with Occult as well as Lore, depending on exactly what you want to know.

I second the bureaucracy thing. There needs to be more for it. If there's space I'd like a system that makes the Athletics speed charms related to footraces do something?
There are a bunch of other things like how to structure cool social scenes...

  • The main thing here is that I vastly prefer the quality of the books we have gotten to the rush "we have to print X words per month" of Second Edition.
And don't get me wrong, I can't wait for Sidereals, not to mention the Infernals that you haven't even mentioned and that might still take 5+ years to get to.
But I honestly think that the Second Edition "2.5" errata tells me all I need to know about what happens if you try to rush these products out.
We've just gotten the best Lunars in 3 Editions. I'm willing to wait a little longer if that means Sidereals...
