  • Caladriu - You're up next, wasn't sure if you were waiting on me or not. I figured I'll post replies to Lynx and your post when I put up the NPC's action.

  • Phoenix, Binder, Ouroboros, and Moonstone
You quickly follow up the stairs after the ghost of the mother and her son. The woman turns the corner and points into the bedroom, where a loud caucophany of angrily buzzing spirits and insane whispers echo in the crowded space.

Phoenix sends a small burst of telekinetic energy that knocks the spirits over, revealing Lynx and Ragnar, the latter of whom looks to be...running in place?

    Ragnar and Lynx
A sudden gust of wind, or what feels like, slams the spirits away. You see the rest of your cabal arrive, standing...

  • Just an FYI, I am out of town this weekend and I've been busy with some personal stuff. I'll try to get a post up as soon as I can, most likely on Sunday or Monday. Thanks for your patience.

  • Posting to see what's going on with everyone.

Hardwire99 - Still looking to see if you have anything you wanted to add or post in the IC thread.

wtaylorjr2001 - Feel free to post again or respond to the other information other players have posted since your most recent entry.

I believe we have lost HaplessWithDice unfortunately, at least for the meantime, as he hasn't logged in for over a month.

Is there anything that anyone is waiting on input from me as the Storyteller before you're posting? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something...

  • Based on the wording of RAW, it looks like the negative condition/tilt is only applied to the caster. This makes more sense to me; a target of a beneficial spell shouldn't have to suffer if the caster botches the spell casting roll.

Because this is a Space spell that backfired, I'm going to say that no, Lynx can't move Ragnar by carrying him. There's like a small pocket of dimensional warping around him, such that he simply refuses to move in the right direction when you pull on him. However, I'll say that if you wish, you could end it by taking either of the actions in his place...

  • Thorbes - Moonstone has 3 lethal and 3 bashing damage. Unfortunately all of the bashing is resistant damage from Paradox, so it cannot be healed. I'm not sure if Ophis would know that yet based on personal experience, but I have no issue with you as a player choosing a different benefit based on OOC knowledge of how resistant damage works.

  • Ragnar
Mana springs up from the well inside your soul, fueling your Supernal magic and allowing you to call on another Arcanum not aligned with your Path. You shakily form the Imago, and you take a breath to steady yourself and push the spell into existence with your will--

With even your novice knowledge of Space, you are able to craft a simple Unveiling spell to simplify the sights in front of you. Distance and location are illusions, so you pull back the curtain and choose to simply ignore them.

The house is a cozy ranch-style home. In the back of the home near the kitchen, you see a set of French doors looking out to a large backyard, which leads up to the edge of the forest. The doors are smashed, with a large hole in the glass pane of one door. But that's not what draws your attention most readily. Lying on the ground near the kitchen...

  • Hardwire99 - So Thorbes' point/example illustrates exactly what I was trying to explain. On p. 134 for example, it says that "The mage may also mix and match the above effects using Potency. So, a Potency 4 hex allows the mage to levy a penalty on the subject’s next two actions, as well as apply the Blinded and Leg Wrack Tilts."

A Potency 4 hex could do any of the following:
    (1) Apply -4 penalty to all mundane actions for a total of 4 rolls
    (2) Apply 4 negative tilts (either existing ones in the book, or custom tilts)

    Notice that in the example...
