  • Some gamelines also provide additional benefits to dodging. Like, in mage for example some of the mage armours allow for redirection of attacks or giving enemies beaten down if you successfully use the Dodge action and spend mana.

.... killing people and using people as human shields is an act of hubris for the same sort of reasoning forcing people to do actions against their will is. It's depriving others of their agency and believing you have the right to decide who lives and dies.

That's a pretty messed up viewpoint to me. That's sorta like considering any action morally okay in the real world as long as people don't catch you.[/FONT]...

Nope. I don't see wisdom as morality.

Also nope. It is primarily about your self control over magic, but mundane actions still can be acts of hubris. There is even a whole category of Rapt who had their last act of hubris be non magical ones.

I didn't. Don't put words in my mouth....

The same group which is primarily focused on raising humanity out of the grips of the lie. Hubris is a cowards word not because "fuck the sleepers" but because the silver ladder is founded on the idea that humanity deserves divinity, and the idea that you are a god or deserve the power of the gods is the most core hubris.

That is painfully wrong. Mages don't lose their natural empathy instincts at all. They have obsession riding on top of their minds, but part of the whole point of mages horror is that they're just normal people with power and a tendency for obsession. Cutting out their empathy like that is completely just headcanon on your part.

Integrity and empathy aren't even related for godsake. @_@

It doesn't really matter if Lex isn't a moral code, mages are still humans. They're going to care about you doing horrific things to people. The Lex was made by people. People who don't want the people they care about and the communities they live in to have serial killers and psychos doing messed up things.
