  • Heh, that would make all wolf-blooded skinchangers, since Uratha are a variety of Feral according to Changing Breeds (despite how stupid that is)....

Will Dragonbloods who aren't from the Realm or Lookshy get any information in their book or will they probably only get a paragraph or two?

    Also, congratulations.

I still find it weird that Hedge stuff is done by mages with Fate rather than Mind considering the realm is so psychoreactive.

It feels like your just having a conversation on your own and not understanding my points so I'm just going to leave.

Could you give a page number, because I'm looking in that section and not seeing anything about infrastructure in the underworld....

Based on that changelings would have their kiths altered by their seemings and they'd all get to just choose their appearance.... The wyrd alters how changelings look to follow storytropes, and the only way to change that is by going back and escaping in a different way. The wyrd isn't going to change you into a story that doesn't exist yet.

What? What does this have anything to do with the conversation?...

Yes that's part of my point. Your "snow white" wouldn't be made be to be like snow-white by the wyrd, her form would be based on tropes from mythologies making her drastically different (especially since mythology and folklore operate on completely different styles of tropes)....

  • It's 2e, but it lacks the "here is all the core rules" chapter the other 2e gamelines have and instead has a copy of the "God-Machine Chronicles Update" at the end....

It's just weird if changelings are the origins of fairytales, being humans changed by fairytale logic and altered to follow tropes requires the fairytales and tropes to exist beforehand or they would end up being changed into something else....

  • Because integrity was a measure of the mortals soul not actually emotional health, since beast has a horror instead of a soul the closest equivalent to integrity would be their horror's corpus or satiety. When a human does something wrong their soul might cause them to feel guilty about it, when a beast does something wrong the horror does not care so they don't become guilty to the level that it would be worthy of a condition....

  • I was making me and my mates as characters for each 2e gameline, with demon we ended up with the forms of:
    Emoangel
Blade Hand, Night Vision, Fast Attack, Aura Sight, Inhuman Beauty, Wings, Wound Healing
Once an assassin for god who fell when their guilt brought her to attempt her own destruction. She now appears as a beautiful female angel with eyes which radiate hungry darkness. Her skin is covered in scars and cuts, many of which still drip with blood. Sticking out of one of the angel's many injuries is the handle of a massive straight razor, which she slides out of herself

  • Is there a list of what Eras will be in the book? I started playing CofD after all the kickstarters.

  • Resonance automatically is created. If people keep getting stabbed in an alley, it'll become resonant with pain (probably also theft and fear). You could change it by making it no longer associated with pain by stopping future pain from occurring in the alley for long enough that it ceases to be a place of pain....

  • Could be that the previews are no longer accurate to such an extent that they don't properly represent the game?

  • No, there is a sidebar in chapter two which talks about what makes something an unfleshed. With the primary determinator being whether the created is intended to actually be a human or not, all tammuz were meant to be humans, even if some are made of clay.

That sidebar does also increase the Prague weirdness by saying that the golem of Prague can be a Tammuz or Unfleshed, rather than giving the definite answer of saying it's an Unfleshed like later chapters do....

  • Laborers are people you try to treat as disposable tools, but you still know they're people. You're purposefully hiring people. But that arm on the assembly line isn't a person, it is literally just a metal and plastic mechanism which was designed to do what an assembly arm does. Nothing more.

To make a tammazu, you need the intent of creating a person, while with unfleshed there was never the intent for that tool to come to life....

  • Which is even weirder consider Tammuz can be made of clay, or stone, or ice, or books, etc.

They're workers/labourers. Unfleshed are tools. Think of the differences between a sweatshop and an assembly line....

replied to How beasts learn atavisms?
"Atavisms are intrinsic. They are the Giant’s strength or the Raptor’s talons. Using them is as natural as breathing." They "get" their first atavisms from that simply being how their horror's body is.

Nightmares on the other hand, "must be learned, whether at the knee of some other monster or by ferreting them out from the deep places of the Primordial Dream". So pick depending on whether or not you know other supernaturals....
