It honestly seems kind of weird to lock any of the exalted out of being able to do tier one sorcerery/necromancy since those are supposed to be things you can achieve as a regular human with a ton of effort (or at least I think regular humans can do necromancy now without being ghost blooded? Might be remembering that one wrong). It feels weird for an exaltation to make you less capable at something then you were before receiving it. Though the weird ones that involve someone who was never a regular person to begin with like liminals or alchemicals can't make that complaint, I guess....

When you do the necromancy write up for abyssals will it have much in the way on necromancy info for other exalts? Like if a dragon blooded needs to do something special to get access to necromancy like how that one grass spider DB did?

Well yeah, look at how they are portrayed as a whole. Then look at how that same group took one look at Smiling Rat's methods and said 'holy **** what a lunatic!' and stopped inviting him to come hang out with the cool kids when the Shahan-ya meet.

And then you have some lunars who decided that they don't like killing people to steal their faces and who made the effort to learn alternative ways of getting them even as others just stick with 'kill and steal'. Though of course some of them had pragmatic reasons for it (what if I want to permanently gainthe face of someone...

I forgot about the Sijanese one, Smiling Rat struck me as more antagonist material then mentor material unless you are running an 'evil' game thats cool with sticking it to the realm by turning the north into a giant shadowland.

Edit: Though on rereading he was explicitly called out as happy to pass his skills in necromancy on to aspirants so maybe he is one of those 'terrible to his enemies and the unaffiliated but cool to his allies' types? Or it is really hard to find necromancy teachers up north so people have to make do with what they can get up there....

Right, but this is an actual in depth write up of their dominion as opposed to just a passing mention like in the Lunars book....

Oh, right, once it comes out the companion book that a bunch of the kickstarter stretch goals went into making is going to have the domain of two of the prominent elder necromancers as one of the written up countries. So that is likely going to have some information useful to anyone looking to do lunar necromancy.

From what we know of them those two seem to be the Raksi of necromancers, lunar elders who are openly interested in passing it on and therefore reasonably easy to slot in as a necromancy teacher for a lot of PCs....

In setting they have spent most of history tied with solars as the most awesome necromancers among the exalted (both can reach second circle) in a departure from previous editions where they were limited to 1st circle necromancy and de facto singular most awesome since most of the solars got locked away and this is big enough in setting for their to be prominent lunar elders getting shit done with necromancy.* A lot of them are probably going to get a bit of sting to their pride once abyssals start surpassing them and tossing around 3rd circle necromancy.

    In terms of mechanics they...

If it is for a bunch of dragon blooded then thematically some giant elemental behemoth of a thing seems appropriate. I'd go with a big ass eastern style dragon serpent soaring through the void with a city on its back personally. Whether it is an elemental, construct, or some unique behemoth class being seems like something that should be decided on by the needs of the story.

So, can someone more tech savvy explain why one of those websites like wayback machine or something I've heard of that are supposed to let you see dead websites or previous versions of changed websites can't let you see the old forums?

Solar: a bleached lifeless desert rendered inhospitable except via supernatural means by the scorching rays of the sun thanks to a crystal mountain in the center which seems to absorb and amplify the suns rays before blasting them back out into the surrounding area.

Lunar: An overgrown forest from which you cannot see the sky and only seems to be lit by moonlight filtering through the leaves no matter the time of day. The paths within are constantly shifting and its nearly impossible to traverse without the aide of a local spirit as a guide.

    Sidereal: A cave whose ceiling...

replied to So chimerization as a problem is gone?
Yes, now mixing it up by taking two spirit shapes and merging them into a hideous abomination is just a charm with no mental downsides (though IIRC a few lunars in setting have unfounded superstitions about it being bad for your mental state and kind of side eye lunars that choose to go the chimera route).
