Welcome, Dreamking89! We still have room. A Dawn Caste would probably put Wonderandawe at ease, considering how their character only dipped their toe into combat abilities.

I'd like to join, playing a Terrestrial Immaculate Priestess who's recently realized her entire religion is a damn hoax and is currently traveling with the group. Not sure which charms I'd use, she'd be the first terrestrial I'd actually build myself, and I'm open to suggestions.

They'd work well with the Solar character I'm building. He was born into Dynast family only become a Zenith as a teenager, forcing him to go on the run. In the years he's become a wandering hero/revolutionary preacher, who despite it all is actually loyal to the Realm but at the same time has come to see the corruption and decadence of the Realm and wants nothing more than to see it corrected. Chief among that is a reconciliation between the Solars and the Dragon-Blooded. Of course as long as the half-truths and lies of the Immaculate Order are being supported he knows that can't happen so he's working on his own revisions to the Immaculate Philosophy, creating a few scattered cults across the North in an effort to spread his beliefs amid the people of Threshold before eventually returning to the Blessed Isle to spread them within the heart of the Realm itself.

Homo sapiens. What an inventive, invincible species. It's only a few million years since they crawled up out of the mud and learned to walk. Puny, defenceless bipeds. They've survived flood, famine and plague. They've survived cosmic wars and holocausts. And now, here they are, out among the stars, waiting to begin a new life. Ready to outsit eternity. They're indomitable. Indomitable.

Welcome, Revenge of the TV Head. Do you have any ideas on your priestess' aspect or martial art, if any, she has focused on for her enlightenment?

Okay so I've finished my character sheet, minus the Charms and bonus points. And like I said earlier I'm not quite sure which Charms I should go for. Like I said above, he's a wandering hero and preacher, protecting the helpless while spreading his revised interpretation of the Immaculate Philosophy.

I have a bit of an idea on what I'm going for with the bonus points, though advice on that is welcome too.

Oh, and double checking the sheet I realized that I didn't specify the Artifact he has, its a Grand Grimscythe. Was very tempted to go with the Grand Daiklave but I've always had a thing for scythes.

Yeah, I was definitely thinking of taking Shadowlands Circle Necromancy. Spells would include Banish Ghost, Iron Countermagic, and Gentle Call of Lethe. I would also have the Art of the Dead at a high degree. Yes these are pretty redundant, but I believe there will be times when one or the other is preferable. Also, since he was a Thaumaturge before receiving the Black Exaltation, he would retain those abilities despite having more efficient and powerful ones now.

I would like to have his primary armament be a staff (I will have to try to find an artifact version as these aren't available in core) for when the crap hits the fan. I will most likely dip into Melee to represent his nod to wanting to not be completely useless when blades are bared. I know a staff has the Martial Arts tag, but that would represent a conscious decision to be a combatant and I don't think that is his style...yet. The thing is Abysals (like Solars) sword so freakin' hard. I just can't ignore that. I'm also thinking I would do some thrown in order to stand apart from combat, but I will have to approach that at a different time. Of course, if I wanted to depict a fall into darkness I could branch into MA and pull out a combination of Savage Shade and Dark Messiah. Hmm...

I will tell you what I am having trouble deciding: Darklord choice and actual freakin' name for the character. What should I name him? Suggestions are welcome. I would like to know more about the Tyrant before I actually make a decision on that ground. Other than that and being freakin' busy for the past two or three days, the character is coming along nicely.

I play forum games! Come check out the (mis?)adventures of

Will it be a problem that I am a priest of the Yozi whose urge is to cultivate the character flaws in people that lead them to ruin?

Exthalion how are we supposed to get along with your character when his motivation is somewhat to brainwash us into self-destruction ? This is by no mean an insult but just a bit of concern since I play an alchemical it might be a bit tense with the primordial and Yozis patronage.

                  Merits and flaws
                  - Obligation 2pts The Beast as said that it would be back to request his help one day.

                  Background
Commissioned five years ago by the city of Arat to work in the munifactory as a artificer and researcher though he aquited himself quite well he was never fully satified with is work. It was never enough for him and the other alchemicals started to grow tired of his attitude but his results where good and so they endured it but it was not to last. An incident occured in one of the lab that was working with elsewhere technologies which triggered a massive but concentrated blast of essence that desintegrated most of what was in it's path but not Unrestrained Lover who was caught in it. Of the alchemical no trace remained behind but death did not claimed him for he found himself in a strange of cold and snow with terrible winds carriying ice that cut like glass. Confused, lost and freezing he began to wander to find shelter but instead was found by a strange beast that walked and talked like a man, the beast did not introduced itself nor did he said who sent only that he was here to guide him to safety and help understand where he was.

The beast though clearly surprised by the alchemical nature of Unrestrained Lover guided him to a herd of mammoth to get some supplies for the alchemical and hunted one of the herd for it's skin an meat to continue on their journey. The beast explained where the alchemical was and it was not long before Unrestrained Lover got one thing for sure he was no longer in Autochtonia.

I want to throw him with the Hastlani League as a magitech engineer do you still have a spot on your airship for a passenger Wise Old Guru ? I might need a ride.

Entirely OOC: His motivation is to ensure his wife and children live long and happy lives. Since he is too ashamed to interact with them directly and is fairly sure that doing so would put them at risk he seeks that goal by making the age better for everyone.

His Urge of cultivating character flaws is what the Ebon Dragon put on top of his to-do list. It can be worked out on our enemies and generally bad people. He personally hopes that people will resist him in this; that rather than give in to their flaws they will overcome them. (He does have a rather low opinion of those who do give in though, partly because that is what he did)

I am glad to hear we've got some water and rivers in the area. Gives Nergui a chance to shine.

In terms of getting PCs together...if we have several PCs traveling to Last Chance from the South, it makes sense that the Dancing Pelican is the ship that carries you from one of the other Haslanti cities up to the emerald that's the site of the game. The ship has room for a couple of passengers in addition to the crew. In terms of Lunar/Solar mates, I'm trying to decide between picking the mate who will cause the most dramatic emotional damage and interpersonal complications, or the mate who can act as a healing and stabilizing influence for an already-unstable PC.

                      I'll think on that.

Magnusaur, you're looking to play an Alchemical fish-out-of-water? Assuming he's okayed, without access to your homeworld and the vats, how are you planning to to switch out charms or get new ones?

So I'm making God-Kicking Boot, an Exalted webcomic, now. Updates on Sundays. Full-color, mediocre but slowly improving art. It's a thing.

The absence of a monument can, in its own way, be something of a monument also.

I'm still debating my character backstory/concept/etc. Unfortunately, the North is one of the areas of Creation I know the least about, which makes it a bit hard to build a character (for me anyway)

In the exact words Dietaku answered me when I asked about that in a PM.

                          ---------------------------------------------------------------

Dietaku: We can handle it the same way Modern does. Whenever you want to alter your charm layouts or raise your essence, your body goes dormant and the exaltation rebuilds itself in a new and stronger form/ altered magical circuit layout in the case of charms. If anyone asks, , it could be an alteration caused by the Elsewhere accident that your character went through.

                          -----------------------------------------------------------

I focused my character on a crafting because he arrived to creation with the clothes on his back and he was working in a laboratory. If you want to have a magitech engineer on your ship in case it breaks down or arm it I'm your guy.

You can always do what I did for my Northern Skype game, build a character with a backstory in an area you do know a lot about and have them run away to the North. The ST made it so that my character's First Age incarnation was based in the North, thus why my character felt drawn there.

Just that she's an Air Aspect, I've got her ability spread picked out. I'm also working with Anathema, and have no idea what I'm doing, for some reason whenever I start picking up charms, it uses the bonus points instead of the 5 charms listed under "General." Which stymies me because I can only buy like, three charms with those points.

Only exception seems to be when I take "Pasiap's Humility." That uses up one of five charm pieces. Also, it seems as if I've forgotten to select her attributes. Heh..

Depends on things. I doubt many of our characters will actually know each other at the start, we're a bit too diverse of a group to just be together without some backstory. Likely we'll start off as individuals and/or smaller groups that arrive at this place with roughly similar goals, joining together to achieve said goals.

Plus aside from Solars and DBs my character is pretty ignorant on the other Exalted out there. He's heard stories but never actually met any of the other types yet and his own experience with truth and the teachings of the Immaculate Order have taught him that the words of others isn't necessarily the truth. He doesn't ignore them but he doesn't accept the tales as truth either. When meeting another Exalted for the first time, he approaches them with caution until he feels he has figured out their true nature. Unless your character acts like a monster or a cruel tyrant he will tolerate them.

                                Which given your own words...

It shouldn't be a problem right off the bat.

Don't the road though, who's to say.
