All right, let's get this show on the road! Here are the character sheets you will need. Once everyone has indicated what character they would like to use, we can get an in-character thread up and running. A couple things to keep in mind:

• This scenario requires that Stephanie be one of the characters being played. If someone could pick her first, that would be awesome.
• Once characters are picked, I'll make an editable copy of the character sheets for this game and PM you the link.
• Some of the characters pick up additional powers over the course of the three scenes. Some of the characters don't. The scenario isn't trying to be unfair, so I just want you to bear in mind the progressions of characters is unique so that no one feels like they are getting the short end of the stick.
• PbP games are slow and we do have a fairly short time limit, so I am going to try and keep things moving as fast as possible, faster than I normally would with these games. If you don't think you can keep up with the pace, please let me know
• I'm not planning on continuing this game after the playtest, but it may happen. I'll make that call when we are done.

Also, does anyone know of a good dice roller online? I used to use Invisible Castle, but it seems to have disappeared some time ago?

Yeah it is. All of the characters work in Doubting Souls or in mordern times. I made a couple of tweeks to fit the eras better, but I don't have the time to completely overhaul back stories, and it I totally overhaul stats, this experiment in no longer useful to the Dev team. If you think I genuinely missed something, absolutely point it out, but note that I have zero intention of changing anyone's gender, the nature of Gabby and Steph's relationship, or Khalil's ethnicity. I'm not trying to be a tyrant, but I'm actually super busy at work right now, so I don't have the time or energy to put this up to debate. If you think there is a way to write a subtle twist into the character you pick, there should be plenty of space for you to fill out their backstory, and I fully encourage you to do so.

I dont have a character preference at the moment (I've just skimmed them), so I can play Steph if nobody else wants her. Otherwise, I'll play whichever one is least desired. I'll try to refresh my knowledge of the place of women in that time and try to tweak the backstory as needed. I suppose that since it's a quick playtest, I probably don't need to worry quite as much about historical accuracy as I should, but I'll still try to do what I can.

well, I'm not used to choose a pre-made character, which makes that choice a bit difficult as no one is exactly how I wish it to be, I think I can work with Cassidy.

Reverend Julius will be simply local Anglican priest in Arkham, then. I will need to watch a Witch movie from 2015 for more Era inspiration...

Sounds good. I'll wait for White Oak Dragon and then post the IC thread tomorrow. I'll probably run both the meeting with the Lucifuge elders and the initial investigation scene co-currently to save on some time. Think of it like intercutting between flashbacks.
