I actually have to forgo writing anything until next Tuesday. I wasn't able to finish my post as I promised mainly because I have a role in a play that's in very soon.
But I've also been writing side short stories that would serve as background for my characters. One about Obadiah and Miss Watson, and the other about Miss Watson and Dutch (the guy who recruited Hei into the Pentacle society), and a little draft about the first encounter between Hei and Miss Watson. I'm planning to finish the Obadiah/Miss Watson arc and then promptly finish the latter part of the current events.
Laters. Until then.

Hello, I'm back again. I'm sorry to say I have not made much progress on Hei arc, or even the Obadiah/MissWatson arc I promised. I had to spend a lot of time on writing an independent short story that was originally for homework which I intend to finish, and now I am seized by the priority of college. That's not to say that I haven't been dicking around a lot, especially reading fanfictions or just lying in bed. I just wanted to put a notice here because this thread and story, which I have enjoyed investing much time in, looked so pitiful without any update from anyone. I've seen so many things stop without news, fading to obscurity like a lonely old man who died in his house only to be found years later, that I feel a conclusion (or a proper beheading) is needed.
Winchester, Doolittle, Scar, Oberon, Willow, and Lars disappeared without trace, and it seemed it was only Hei/Miss Watson duo and Hoplite, then he was gone too (I think).
I really like the story, and I really enjoyed writing about Hei and Miss Watson and loved fleshing out their persons and history. I also had tons of fleeting ideas about the characters that they interacted with like Obadiah, Dutch, and even Otti, and because of this, the whole mage arc will have a special place in my heart (which I mean my writing history).
However, the story of Tuesday's endeavor to bring a motley crew of mages to collect all the Chess so she could marry her step brother could never be shortened to a length in which I would be comfortable to trudge alone. Hei and Miss Watson couldn't possibly pick up the quest where Tuesday and her hired cohorts have left, and they haven't even been made relevant to each other yet! I'll miss writing a couple of scenes that I really wanted to write, but it isn't enough to look forward to writing half of a short novel.
So what will happen now? After all, this project is yours, Cire.

My thought is that the Tuesday part should be forgotten. I think we should focus on Auckland for the time being at least. Perhaps we should even start over, albeit in the same setting. If half a novel is to be written, it should be about the remaining player's characters.
