Phew, finally got something up. Sorry that took freaking forever.

I bent a few of the apparent rules related to Astral stuff to make this work without a formal demesne. Technically, because you need to be in a place of power to summon anything from the Astal Realm, Spade would need to create a demesne, not just carry his soul stone around with him. Alternatively, I might say that he has the Astral Adept merit, which would also bypass some of the issues. But I also don't want this scene to go on for too long.

Moonstone has one more brief session after this with Valentine on the following day. I'll abbreviate it to a post or two, like I did with Boomer's session with Phoenix and yours with Mathias.

After that, we'll be shifting scenes and regrouping. I was going to introduce an event to give you all an opportunity to delve further into some of the local Mysteries while starting to introduce more of the conflict related to issues in Chicago / La Grange. There's also the upcoming potential to interact with Alux again.

If anyone has any specific goals or ideas of things you would like to pursue, let me know!

A few things I wanted to clarify or mention:

1) I'm sorry I let the pace of the game get so much slower in the past month. My work schedule has been busy, but I also wasn't being as intentional with putting up my replies. I realized that I missed playing/posting as often, and seeing all of your great posts and ideas, and I want to make sure that doesn't happen again because of me. So I'm going to really try my best to stick to a 3-day response rate for myself. Players are still encouraged to reply at their convenience, preferably 1/week.

2) MagicSwordsman - Binder would observe this whole interaction with Spade. You are sharing a lucid dream, not actually in the Astral Realm. Feel free to comment on how Binder would react or to ask Spade questions to learn about what he's doing.

3) Caladriu - In the next post or so, I would like to do your final interaction for this scene with Valentine, which will be a lesson-like session like what Boomer and Ragnar received. If you're concerned about being able to enjoy or RP this scene or interaction to the degree you would like, please message me or post in this thread. I don't want you to feel like you can't enjoy a really symbolic and creative experience that is meaningful for Moonstone.

4) Haberdasher and crapcarp - You don't have to reply again before we move on if you don't want to, please either reply at your convenience or post here when you're ready to move on so I don't cut you off.

Sorry for not replying quicker, and thanks for writing out that nightmare-binding scene! I'd been looking forward to it. I'd like to dive back into things, especially because I actually live in the area we're playing in now. BTW, if anyone was wondering, there's no spatial warp in the Cloud Gate IRL (although I didn't check with Mage Sight).

Thanks for checking, but there's nothing bugging me OOC about Valentine or anything, I'm generally in a lighter and better mood lately. I'll roll with whatever!

A few more than 3 days but I have been working on this post on and off this week. I actually tried to finish last night but I kept nodding off. :P

I am so, so sorry for this, guys. I'm not gonna lie, I actually forgot about the game. My life's changed pretty damn radically in last few months, so things like this fell to the wayside. I'm gonna do my best to be more active from now on.

I'm ready to move on. I know in my last post Pheonix asked a question, but we can just assume Boomer taught him and leave it at that. By the way, for the sake of pace in Pheonix's individual story arc, my last post would be the end of the Anger stage and on the cusp of the Bargaining stage in his grieving period.

I have a very light day for scheduled appointments at work, so as long as unexpected things don't come up all day, I plan to put up then next post today.

My wife and I decided to try and buy our first home this summer, so we have been spending a lot of time this week speaking with loan officers and real estate agents, looking up home listings, and talking about that process. It's taking up a lot of my time but I'm looking forward to moving on in this game. I'll do everything I can to get us back up and running.

Good news: We put an offer on a house that we love and it was accepted!!

Bad news: My life has been ridiculously busy this week. Work and house stuff have been crazy.

I have a draft in my head of a post and next scene for us to explore. Just need to write it up and we can get moving again. I'm sorry I have been the holdup here.
